We’re still in the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak. But we already see how the virus is costing the American people. Who’s going to pay for it?
Businesses have been shut down. Entire industries are feeling the pain. Many Americans are unable to work and earn a living.
President Trump is stepping up efforts to ensure we stay afloat during this time.
But shouldn’t someone be held responsible for a virus that has wreaked havoc around the world, if they are really at fault?
Well, one congressman thinks someone should be. And he’s demanding the nation of China pay up.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) said on Monday that the United States should begin forcing China to “pay the burden and the cost incurred” by the U.S. due to the Wuhan coronavirus…
“We need to start by forcing China to pay the burden and the cost incurred on the United States of America due to the coronavirus. I think there are many ways that we can do that,” Banks said.
Republican Jim Banks said the United States should force China to pay the burden of our outbreak.
We all know the virus started in Wuhan, China. Reports indicate the communist nation sat back and did nothing for months as the virus spread.
Now, the entire world is suffering. China needs to be held accountable, don’t they?
Banks said there is a variety of ways the United States can force China to pay us back to what we’ll lose.
Among the options include Trump issuing more tariffs on China—designating the cash to go into a victim relief fund. That money can be used to cover the costs this disease will ultimately cost us.
Another solution is to force China to relieve the debt America owes them. Hey, we may owe them money, but they let a deadly virus loose on the world.
So… I’m thinking we should call it even.
But don’t expect the D.C. swamp or mainstream media to champion this plan. Already the MSM is criticizing Trump for calling the disease, the “Chinese Virus.”
They are trying to already build a narrative that Trump is wrong to point the finger at China.
Why? Because plenty of media outlets have large, Chinese investors. And that’s not including the many U.S. companies that still have factories over there.
We won’t get much support from the left to go after China. But something must be done. And Trump might be the only person to do it.
