What’s Happening:
As you can imagine, Democrats in D.C. are pushing policies that will only make it harder for cops to keep our streets safe.
Their current push is to outlaw certain techniques designed to get suspects under control. While sometimes controversial, these techniques can safely apprehend someone—to avoid the use of deadly force.
Of course, Democrats want to ban them.
But in the red state of Kentucky, they are taking a different approach. They actually want to make it harder for people who disrespect our men and women in blue.

A bill advancing out of a Kentucky Senate committee on Thursday would make it a crime to insult or taunt a police officer to the point where the taunts provoke a violent response…
“In these riots, you see people getting up in officers’ faces, yelling in their ears, doing everything they can to provoke a violent response…
…there has to be a provision within that statute to allow officers to react to that. Because that does nothing but incite those around that vicinity and it furthers and escalates the riotous behavior.”
Kentucky’s state Senate is advancing a bill that would make it illegal to provoke or taunt a police officer. This law covers actions that are common during riots and protests, when perps try to get a cop to act out in violence.
The bill comes in response to the many riots that spread across the country last summer. Believe it or not, some rioters wanted a violent response from the cops.
Why would they do that? To make it appear as if the cops were oppressing a “peaceful protest.” One or two agitators would get in a cop’s face, screaming, insulting, and even throwing things like rocks or bottles.
Eventually, police would have to respond, which could get more protestors to lash out. Conveniently, the media would only cover the police response, to spin it negatively.
It appears this law would punish those people who try to instigate violence against the police. Anyone who “does anything they can” to get cops to react, could face penalties.
Democrats might argue that this is a violation of free speech. That will be a real laugh riot. But it appears that this law is not infringing on freedom of expression, but specific acts of aggression against cops.
It might go a long way in prevent future riots or dangerous encounters, at least in one state.
