We may never know why President Obama supported dictatorships. Murderous governments who vowed to destroy America and our ally Israel. Yet under Obama, we sent dictators billions of dollars. That’s billions, with a “b.”
It seems like Obama wanted to help or even protect them. He worked to lower sanctions.
His Iranian Nuclear deal would pave the way to giving the rogue nation WMD’s. Some might think Obama put Iran ahead of his own country.
But things are changing, both here and in Iran.
The House of Representatives just passed a resolution. In doing so, they throw out everything Obama did to support Iran.
From Breitbart:
The House of Representatives approved House Resolution 676 on Tuesday, putting into the Congressional Record its support for the protesters that have taken to the streets in cities across Iran in opposition to its oppressive radical Islamic government.
HR 676 reads: “Supporting the rights of the people of Iran to free expression, condemning the Iranian regime for its crackdown on legitimate protests, and for other purposes…”
The regime in Iran has insisted the protests have been put down, but supporters — including those who have held rallies across the United States in recent days — say the protesters need support for their cause to bring about a Democratic Republic in the country.
Hundreds gathered in Washington, DC, and an estimated 2,000 in Los Angeles, California, over the weekend in support of the protesters…
At least 21 protesters have been killed since protests began on December 27, but some say the number is much higher. Authorities in Iran have said that at least 450 people were detained, but the U.S. Department of State said the number could be as many as 1,000, CNN reported.
The recent protests are only the beginning. Make no mistake: changes are coming to Iran. After years of oppression, it looks like the people will be free.
The resolution by the House is more than just words. It’s a deliberate sign that our government is backing the people of Iran, not it’s murderous leaders. This resolution can have a major impact in how the rest of the world views the protests. It can lead to support from other countries. Perhaps in the form of resources and other aid.
We might see greater changes coming to Iran in the coming days and weeks. When the United States openly endorses something, things begin to happen.
I’m sure Obama isn’t too happy about this. But we might never understand why.
