Since Republicans took over the House, they have been investigating Joe Biden. For years, claims have upset Americans over what Biden might have been doing. Republican investigators have compiled documents, eyewitness testimony, and other reports about Joe and his son. Whistleblower testimony appears to have pushed the needle, triggering House Speaker McCarthy to announce an impeachment probe.
The mainstream media has been questioning the validity of the impeachment probe. Some, echoing statements released by the White House, claim there is “no evidence” against Joe Biden. But it does not appear that this inquiry will go away any time soon. Because House Republicans just issued a new update.
From Fox News:
House Republicans announced Monday that the first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Biden will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
According to the office of House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., the hearing “will examine the value of an impeachment inquiry,” and will present all evidence to date uncovered by the committee in its investigation into the Biden family finances.
The first impeachment inquiry hearing against Joe Biden will be held this week. Republican investigators, led by Rep. James Comer, will present what evidence they’ve uncovered over the year.
Comer has said Joe Biden “abused his public office for his family’s financial gain.” During this hearing, he will present “financial records, emails, texts, testimony from credible IRS whistleblowers, and a transcribed interview with Biden family business associate Devon Archer.”
The Republican has claimed this evidence will implicate Joe Biden in an alleged bribery scheme. Republicans and critics have accused Biden of using his son Hunter to extract money from foreign businesses and entities, while he was vice president.
Others believe that federal agencies have been complicit in covering it up to protect the Bidens. The DOJ, IRS, and FBI have refused to investigate what appear to be credible claims against the Bidens. Some Americans believe these agencies are deliberately avoiding scrutinizing Biden, so he can win re-election.
It’s unclear whether this probe will lead to impeachment. Some might claim that an impeachment against Biden might help his re-election. Others, including Democrats, might fear what information comes out during an impeachment probe.
- House Republicans will hold the first impeachment inquiry hearing this week.
- Republican investigators will reveal what evidence they uncovered over the year.
- Comer has accused Biden of abusing his power to enrich his family.
