To the surprise of many, CNN covered most of the Republican National Convention’s first night.
But earlier in the day, when Trump gave a speech to delegates, CNN cut away.
Right in the middle of his speech, the network had to stop and give their commentary.
Apparently, Anderson Cooper and his associates were so shocked by Trump’s “outright lies.”
But they went even further, comparing him to a notorious figure from history:
CNN cut away from President Trump’s address to delegates at the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., on Monday, with anchor Anderson Cooper arguing that the president’s speech was composed of “the most recent greatest hits and false statements” regarding mail-in voting…
“They wanted Washington disrupted, they voted for Donald Trump and he got his electoral college victory. Now he is the beleaguered incumbent, and you’re right, he often almost seems like Pontius Pilate.”
Apparently, CNN did not want their viewers to listen to Trump list his many accomplishments during his speech to delegates.
Instead, they cut away as Anderson Cooper called what the president was saying “false statements.”
Another CNN pundit called the RNC a “sad thing,” accusing the president of saying “outright lies.”
He then went on to compare Trump to Pontius Pilate.
That is quite the odd stab in the dark. CNN and Democrats have compared Trump to Julius Caesar, Adolf Hitler, and Joseph Stalin.
But Pontius Pilate? Does anyone that watches CNN even know who that man was? He was the Roman governor who condemned Jesus Christ to death.
Not much is known about Pilate besides that. What is CNN trying to say? Do they think the majority of their audience are Bible-reading Americans?
I very much doubt it.
Is CNN trying to say that Trump is a traitor to Christ? Or that he’s an enemy of religious people?
It’s hard to say, but we do know that CNN never fails to find ways to present the president is the most negative light possible.
These anchors accused Trump of saying “outright lies” but didn’t point to a single lie or even try to prove what he said that wasn’t true.
It seems like outlets like CNN would rather “cut away” from the facts, than let their viewers learn what Trump has actually accomplished over the last four years.
Because if they did… maybe they’d vote for him?
- CNN cut away from Trump’s speech so their anchors could criticize him.
- One anchor even compared him to Pontius Pilate, a Roman governor who condemned Jesus Christ.
- It appears CNN is trying to prevent its viewers from learning what Trump has done in office.
