In The “Fight Of The Century,” Governor Cuomo Just Got A Stiff New York Challenger In Rudy’s Son Andrew Giuliani

What’s Happening:

A few months ago, Democrats in New York were calling for Andrew Cuomo’s head.

Somehow, despite a mountain of scandals, the man’s still in office. You’d think liberals would have had enough backbone to get rid of a man accused of harming the elderly and harassing women.

But if the spineless Democrats of NY won’t throw him out, maybe voters will. They’ve suffered quite a bit, thanks to Cuomo’s strict lockdown measures. Perhaps they’re ready to strike back?

(Maybe they’ll toss out the Democrats right along with him.)

And Republicans have come up with a candidate that could serve up the “fight of the century.”

From Fox News:

Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City Mayor and former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, formally announced his bid for governor of New York Tuesday, saying he will “fight” to make the state the “greatest” in the country…

“If New Yorkers choose to elect me Governor, I will bring New York back from the precipice of ruin to the shining STATE on the hill once again!”

Andrew Giuliani, son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, formerly announced his candidacy as governor of New York State.

The man vowed that, if elected, he would fight to make the state the greatest in the country.

That’s a tall order to fill, no matter who you are.

New York, and NYC, was once one of the greatest places in the world. People would flock to the region, just to get a taste of the history, culture, and opportunity.

But the state has fallen on hard times, thanks to pathetic, left-wing leadership.

A figure like Andrew Giuliani might be just what the state needs to turn it around. But he will need the support of every last Republican—and a few independents and Democrats.

While Cuomo is being hammered by many scandals, he is still the incumbent and enjoys the majority liberal bend of the state.

But stranger things have happened. Plenty of Republican governors have led the state. And with the growing resentment felt by residents against Cuomo and his leftist allies, this just might be the prime moment for a conservative to take the reins.

The only question is, where does he start to fix the state?

Key Takeaways:

  • Andrew Giuliani, son of Rudy Giuliani, announced his candidacy for NY governor.
  • The current governor, Democrat Andrew Cuomo, is facing numerous scandals.
  • Giuliani vowed to make New York the “greatest” state in the country.
