News came out this week that has shaken both a state and the House of Representatives.
While driving on the highway through Elkhart County, Indiana, a representative and two others collided headfirst with another vehicle.
Sadly, there were no survivors.

“All three occupants in the southbound vehicle died as a result of their injuries: Jackie Walorski, 58, Elkhart, Indiana Zachery Potts, 27, Mishawaka, Indiana Emma Thomson, 28, Washington, DC The sole occupant of the northbound vehicle, Edith Schmucker, 56, Nappanee, Indiana was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Republican congresswoman, Jacki Walorski, did this Wednesday after her car crashed headfirst into an oncoming SUV.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, but early reports revealed Walorski’s vehicle went left of center and entered the opposite side of the highway.
It hit the SUV, in which was one person, the driver.
Everyone involved in the crash was killed.
Walorski was traveling with Zachery Potts and Emma Thomson—members of her staff.
Members of Congress, both Republicans and Democrats, expressed sorrow over the tragic event.
Those who knew Walorski offered consolation to her family. One colleague praised her as “one of the greatest public servants I’ve ever known.”
Even Nancy Pelosi shared her sympathies, revealing that the flags on Capitol Hill will be flown at half-staff in Walorski’s honor.
