California has suffered big court losses in recent days. Mostly thanks to their draconian lockdowns.
The state continued severe limits on Americans’ liberties even after most states reopened.
The Supreme Court took the Golden State to task again and again.
And it looks like they are finally caving to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Supreme Court’s direct order.
From Fox News:
California on Monday lifted its limits on indoor worship services in the face of U.S. Supreme Court rulings that struck down the coronavirus public health mandates…
“Governor Newsom should have done this a long time ago,” said a statement from Harmeet K. Dhillon, the center’s founder. “For over a year, the state of California has targeted the faith community for discriminatory treatment depriving them of their fundamental right to worship.”
It seemed like California was going to remain in a state of lockdown for as long as they wanted.
The governor suggested the state would reopen as “early” as June of this year. That means residents will continue to suffer lockdown limits well into the Summer.
But they were forced to immediately lift their bogus restrictions on churches after losing five separate court battles.
It seems unthinkable that churches had to go to the Supreme Court five times just to get back their Constitutionally-guarded freedoms.
Yet that is how all of America would be, if Democrats had their way.
Even now, some states are talking about shutting down again. It’s never occurred to them that robbing Americans of their liberty is a fate than the risk of any disease.
Democrats never even bothered to consider churches as essential, when they passed their lockdown rules.
Restaurants, grocery stores, and even bars opened before churches. If people are safe in all those venues, why not churches?
I think we all know why Democrats were so determined to keep churches closed.
At least the Supreme Court sided with our freedoms in this case.
Are you glad the Supreme Court stood up to California?
- California is finally lifting restrictions on churches, allowing them to reopen.
- This comes as the state lost 5 cases against churches in the Supreme Court.
- The state set some of the harshest limits and has been slow to lift them.
