But not if you believe its governor. Gavin Newsom has long been living in denial, pretending conservative paradises like Florida are the real hellholes. During his State of the State address, he refused to own up to the homeless crisis, crime crisis, housing crisis, and economic crisis California is facing. Instead, he said the real threat to California are conservatives.

It seems Gavin Newsom is terrified of another recall election. During his speech, he refused to admit his woke, far-left policies are to blame for California’s rapid decline. Instead, like Biden, he pretended that California was doing fine. We’re great, thank you very much.
No, the real threat are all those vile conservatives and right-wingers. You know, the kind, the America-loving patriots who want to raise families and earn a living. Ew, those people are tearing California apart!
What’s particularly pathetic about this speech is how partisan he was. Yes, Democrats oppose Republicans. But a “State of the State” speech is supposed to outline a state’s progress. It’s not a chance for a politician to attack another party. Save it for the rallies, Gavin!
The Governor’s Leadership
I don’t think we’ve seen a Democrat this out of touch and dishonest since… well, it’s a close race. But Newsom just might be the worst. Over 817,000 CA residents have fled since 2021. Like many other downtowns in California cities, Los Angeles’ downtown is basically a giant homeless toilet. Some neighborhoods are just abandoned, as residents leave their homes as fast as they can.
Rental companies won’t even rent out moving trucks anymore if you are leaving the state—because they keep running out! But no, Gavin, it’s all those terrible Republicans who work hard and build this country that are the problem.
I can’t believe the audacity of Newsom to blame conservatives for his own failures. This guy’s state is falling apart, and he’s pointing fingers at those who actually know how to run a government. The fact that he can’t see the damage his policies have done is just beyond me. California deserves better than this.
