A California judge is taking strong action against Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The left-wing governor has taken all kinds of liberties with his power, mostly due to the COVID panic.
But this move he appeared to be trying to tamper with the state’s election. He ordered all counties to mail ballots to every vote—even if they didn’t request one.
That would create quite a bit of confusion and chaos—as voters with mailed-in ballots won’t be able to vote in person unless they hand it over.
In a scathing rebuke, the judge issued a permanent injunction against Newsom:
A California judge on Monday issued a tentative ruling in favor of two Republican state lawmakers who had filed an abuse of power lawsuit against Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Executive Order N-67-20, which Newsom signed in June, required that counties mail all eligible voters vote-by-mail ballots before Election Day and regulated the number of polling stations…
As part of the ruling, Heckman has issued a permanent injunction that prevents the Democratic governor from making additional unconstitutional orders.
The judge struck a blow for the Constitutions of both California and the United States by preventing the governor from making more orders.
She prevented Newsom from signing orders that are deemed un-Constitutional.
Of course, that will require a judge to decide which orders are or are not unconstitutional. Except Newsom to try to get as much done as he can, without support from the legislature.
It will probably take more legal action by Republicans to hold Newsom to this order.
Since California has a Democratic supermajority, the left seems to think they can play fast and loose with the law. They have passed some of the most extreme leftist policies the country has ever seen.
Big surprise, many residents are fleeing to green pastures, where—you know—they can actually make a living.
California has also been one of the harshest in its COVID response. The governor has denied basic rights to his citizens, including even attending church.
Perhaps this ruling will inspire more lawsuits against this radical governor?
- CA governor Gavin Newsom signed a ruling requiring ballots sent to all voters.
- A judge struck down the ruling and placed a permanent injunction on the governor.
- Newsom has exercised extreme measures over the year, restricting resident’s rights.
