We’ve covered California’s far-left agenda for a long time now.
Few will be surprised that the once Golden State is on the “cutting edge” of some of the most left-wing ideas ever.
Karl Marx might be very proud of Gavin Newsom, to say the least.
Their “green” policy has resulted in massive power outages. Despite a shocking lack of energy, they want to force all-electric vehicles by 2035.
Now, the governor is willing to go even farther in his “wokeness” with a new mandate:
California will develop a detailed plan for reparations under a new law signed on Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom, making it the first state to mandate a study of how it can make amends for its role in the oppression of Black people.
That’s right, a state that entered the union free of slavery is now talking about mandating reparations.
Reparations is the latest buzzword from the far-left. It’s the idea that the government must shell out money (in some cases trillions of taxpayer dollars) to black Americans over slavery.
Many have criticized the idea for its absurdity and bloated cost. Not to mention how some think it stirs up long-seated resentment among Americans—instead of seeking to mend the damage.
But reparations are very popular among Democrats—who are trying to regain support from black Americans.
Donald Trump has enjoyed surging approval among black Americans. Many polls have it at 36-40%.
Why is Trump so popular? Because he has been putting all Americans first, in jobs and pay.
His policies have brought investments into the inner city. And his support for school choice is ensuring black children can have the best education.
Democrats, on the other hand, only offer handouts and redistribution. They want to weigh down Americans (including black Americans) with bloated welfare programs that could keep people in poverty rather than help them out of it.
Where will California even get this money? They can’t even keep the lights on.
And let’s not forget the many thousands fleeing the state every day.
Perhaps Newsom should spend more time finding ways to cut the budget, than add to it?
- CA’s Gavin Newsom is looking at ways to provide “reparations” to black citizens.
- California entered the union a free state and never supported slavery.
- Democrats are growing more and more desperate to buy black support.
