Blue State Fortress Is Days from Falling – GOP Is Very Close to Electing a Governor in the State of Oregon

What’s Happening:

We’ve heard a lot about a possible red wave that will sweep Republicans into power. The 2022 midterms are shaping up to be a referendum on Biden and the Democrats’ leadership from coast to coast. And it looks like voters–of all stripes–are in no way happy with how they are leading.

Most of the conversation, however, revolves around who swing and battleground states will elect. These close races are toss-ups, with many favoring GOP candidates. It didn’t seem anyone was expecting long-standing blue states to be in danger. But one top pollster is revealing the biggest surprise of 2022 could come from the most unlikely of places.

From Just the News:

“The most surprising event” of the 2022 election cycle is the Oregon governor’s race, says pollster Scott Rasmussen.

According to polls, a Republican has a strong chance of winning the 2022 race for governor in the state, long a secure Democratic bastion…

“You’ve got a wealthy, independent, former Democrat,” Rasmussen noted. “You’ve got a really unpopular Democratic governor who’s leaving. You’ve got all the craziness in Portland. So right now, there’s a chance that a Republican could sneak into the governor’s office. That will be wild.”

This is certainly a development nobody was expecting. But top pollster Scott Rasmussen breaks down the factors of the Oregon election.

It looks like a Republican can take the Oregon governor’s race, thanks to a variety of factors. Because it is a three-way race, between one conservative and two liberals, the advantage is with the conservative. Liberal votes will be split between Kotek the Democrat and Johnson a Democrat who is now independent.

But beyond that, you have the growing discontent with the Oregon establishment. For years, Oregon has been a blue stronghold. Voters, though, are getting tired of the left’s radical plans, which have hurt their communities. Oregon is going the way of Portland, which entertains radical groups like Antifa–and extreme policies like Defund the Police.

Add to that Biden’s failures and the failures of the Democratic Party overall, you have a recipe for a major upset. If a Republican wins the governorship in Oregon, all bets are off. Democrats will be panicking like never before.

It will be hilarious.

Key Takeaways:

  • A top pollster is predicting the possibility of a Republican winning the Oregon governor’s race.
  • Two liberal candidates are facing off against the Republican, meaning liberal votes will be split.
  • Voters are also discontent over Democrat leadership, as well as Joe Biden’s failures.
