After Biden pulled the last of our troops from Afghanistan, he admitted he left Americans behind.
But he claimed that those were people who wanted to stay. Yeah, we didn’t buy that.
We later learned that private efforts were trying to fly these people home. Biden and Blinken claimed the State Department would do everything it could to get them out.
Now, a leaked email reveals the State Department is deliberately blocking rescue attempts.
From Fox News:
The State Department refused to grant official approval for private evacuation flights from Afghanistan to land in third countries…
Furthermore, the State Department explicitly stated that charter flights, even those containing American citizens, would not be allowed to land at Defense Department (DOD) airbases…
You need to find another destination country, and it can’t be the U.S. either.”
Not only is the State Department refusing to give rescue flights clearance to take off, but it is denying them a place to land.
Making flimsy claims about security, State Department officials are telling private flights they have nowhere to go.
They will not let them land on military bases, in Middle Eastern countries, or even the U.S. itself.
The State Department says they are doing this because they can’t verify flight manifests.
Um… isn’t this the same State Department who flew tens of thousands of Afghans from the country to the U.S.?
With reports that many of these refugees don’t even have IDs or a “scrap of paper”?
Yet when private flights are taking Americans—with passports—back home, suddenly the State Department is worried about security!
Everything Biden does is backward and wrong.
He makes hasty, unthought-out decisions and then scrambles to fix them (or not). He bungled Afghanistan and the evacuation.
Now, he has a chance to do the right thing and simply let private flights bring Americans back home.
And he can’t even get that right!
Does this amount to an impeachable offense? I can’t be sure, but we’re getting closer.
- A leaked email reveals the State Department is denying private flights out of Afghanistan.
- An official told private rescues efforts that they cannot land anywhere, including the U.S.
- Blinken had previously claimed the SD was working to get all Americans out of the country.
