Normally, an outgoing president retreats to private life after leaving office. He tends to stay silent, especially on his successor.
But Trump is no “normal” president.
The one-term POTUS is watching how Biden is “leading.” He sees how the Democrat is deliberately trying to tear down his legacy.
And more than that, he’s watching how Biden’s policies could irreparably hurt Americans.
So, he’s speaking out.
Former President Donald Trump is tearing into President Joe Biden’s handling of the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, saying “our country is being destroyed.”
“When I was president, our southern border was in great shape — stronger, safer, and more secure than ever before…
Our country is being destroyed at the Southern border, a terrible thing to see!”
Donald Trump released a statement slamming Joe Biden’s regressive border policy.
Trump fought for four years to secure the border. It was a major promise of his 2016 campaign—one that was only hindered by Democrat obstruction.
His policies helped prevent a tidal wave of migrant invasion. He prevented an influx of border jumpers and required asylum seekers to remain in Mexico as their cases were decided.
ICE was able to do their job, apprehending criminals and deporting them. Over the years, attempts at the border plummeted.
All that ended the moment Biden entered office. He reversed every reasonable measure put into place by the Trump administration.
Is anyone shocked that attempts at the border have skyrocketed? Detention centers that were empty are now at capacity. Americans fear a new wave of COVID infections, as sick people are being released into the country.
Trump hit Biden hard, saying he is destroying the country.
His words will surely fall on deaf ears in Congress. But what is the GOP going to do? Are they going to sit back and let Democrats destroy our border?
Or will they listen to the warnings of Donald Trump and fight back?
