Remember Joe Biden the “moderate?” Yeah, neither do we. Even before he entered office, Joe was promising to push radical, leftist policies.
And, what do ya know, he’s been doing that since day one. It seems that whatever “moderate” views the former senator and vice president once had have gone out the window (along with his sanity).
Everything he’s done has been at the approval of the radical left, who wants to scrub every trace of Trump’s work from D.C.
Biden has gone as far as the Supreme Court, demanding they reject key cases. From IJR:
President Joe Biden’s administration on Monday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to cancel upcoming oral arguments and delay further action in two pending appeals that were filed by his Republican predecessor Donald Trump over U.S.-Mexico border wall funding and the so-called “remain in Mexico” asylum policy.
Biden has already sought to end two of Trump’s biggest moves to protect the border: his wall and his “remain in Mexico” policy.
Both of those policies were challenged by the left in courts, their cases making it all the way to the Supreme Court.
Biden’s people are arguing that since he just ended those policies via executive order, the court doesn’t even have to hear the cases.
But something else is going on. Should the court hear these cases and rule on them, Biden might lose his power to get rid of them.
If the Supreme Court rules that the border wall funding continue, then Biden can’t stop it via executive order.
In the same way, if the court decides that Trump’s “remain in Mexico” asylum rule can be upheld, Biden might not have the authority to erase it.
It seems pretty obvious that Biden’s left-wing handlers are panicking. Despite all their bluster, they can’t just easily ignore a Supreme Court ruling. Biden would have to go to Congress to make permanent changes, something he clearly does not want to do.
Even with Democrats in control, Biden has ignored Congress to force his agenda.
But it’s up to the court itself to decide if these cases should be dismissed.
- Joe Biden asked the Supreme Court to dismiss two border cases from the Trump administration.
- Biden had tried to end the border wall and asylum policy through executive order.
- His team argued that the cases are no longer relevant, but the court will have to decide.
