Joe Biden Finally Breaks His Silence on Hunter – The President Gives Concerning Answer to Abuse Accusation

Last week, we learned that investigators might have enough evidence to charge Hunter Biden with several crimes related to tax and firearm violations.

For much of his term, President Joe Biden has avoided the topic of his son, but now he may have to face more direct questions. And those questions could become increasingly difficult in the coming months.

When POTUS was asked about the charges Hunter faced, Biden offered a few responses — and they were a little surprising.

The Justice Department could be on the verge of bringing official charges against the President’s son, so the Biden family should expect a lot more attention.

Firstly, Joe Biden tried to address the gun issue but his reply was somewhat confusing. These came via TV interview, where he once again claimed he didn’t know anything about the events in question.

Via Washington Examiner:

Turns out that when he made [the] application to purchase a gun, what happened was he say — I guess you get asked — I don’t guess, you get asked a question, are you on drugs, or do you use drugs? He said no. And he wrote about saying no.

Hunter Biden’s drug problem has gained plenty of attention in the past few years, especially after alleged evidence leaked to the public.

These accusations fall on top of the gun charge, and his controversial business dealings overseas. Many critics claim the President must’ve known about the latter, despite his statements.

As for the drug use, Joe Biden said:

This is a kid who got, not a kid — he’s a grown man. He got hooked on — like many families have had happen, hooked on drugs.

He’s overcome that. He’s established a new life. … He’s on the straight and narrow.

Regardless of the political problems Hunter Biden is likely to create for his father, the president repeated he is proud of his son.

In the same interview, the President said he thought Russian president Vladimir Putin was a “rational actor” who isn’t crazy, but has simply “miscalculated significantly.”

However, the comments that are getting all the headlines this week involve Hunter, primarily because of the recently announced investigation update. And naysayers still say Joe Biden knows a lot more than he’s admitting.

Republican leaders have also accused House Democrats of making moves to protect Hunter and the Biden family, which wouldn’t be too surprising.

Whether or not Hunter Biden sees official charges remains to be seen, though many citizens don’t believe he’ll ever receive more than a slap on the wrist. Some say this is more evidence of D.C. corruption.

It’s also possible that this growing issue could hurt Biden in the 2024 presidential election as well.

Key Takeaways:

  • President Joe Biden broke his silence about his son, and said he addressed the gun and drug charges.
  • Biden believes his son is now “on the straight and narrow.”
  • Democrats have been accused of protecting Hunter, but the issue could damage the President’s reelection campaign.
