Sen. Joe Manchin has been a pain in Joe Biden’s neck since the start of this administration. Although a Democrat, the senator has opposed much of Biden’s radical spending plans. He has even voted against Democrat-sponsored bills that would have upended the filibuster, packed the Supreme Court, and dismantle our elections.
But this could be his biggest move against his own party yet.
Many wonder what Joe Manchin’s 2024 plans could be. He is up for re-election in a very conservative, pro-Trump state. Could he lose his Senate seat to a Republican challenger? He was recently spotted in another state, though. And it could be that he’s setting his sights higher than the Senate.
From Daily Wire:
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) could be preparing to launch a “third-party presidential bid” in 2024 for the White House based on some of his recent actions…
The outlet reported that Manchin, 75, told business leaders this week in Iowa… that his politics are “fiscally responsible and socially compassionate.”
Well, look at this. Joe Manchin was in Iowa, speaking to business leaders. Why would he do that? Iowa is a long way from West Virginia. If he is simply gearing up for a 2024 Senate run, why not spend more time in his home state?
Manchin has become increasingly critical of Biden’s administration. He has even opposed old Joe’s EPA nominees for being too radical in their climate agenda. Manchin has even bashed Biden’s administration for its “government overreach.”
The man is sounding more and more like a rival to Biden, not an ally. Could this mean he’ll be running against Biden? Some have speculated that he will run for president in 2024, but not as a Democrat, but as a third-party candidate.
Manchin has not made an announcement. But if he does run against Joe Biden, it will be game over for this sleepy “president.” Manchin will take voters away from Biden, especially moderate Democrats who are sick and tired of Biden’s socialist policies.
This might not only spoil Joe Biden’s chances but give the Republican candidate a major boost. Manchin will take votes from Biden, while the conservative candidate scoops up Republican and right-leaning voters.
But is Manchin intending on doing this? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
- Reports suggest Sen. Joe Manchin might run for president as a third-party candidate.
- He was in Iowa speaking to business leaders against Biden’s radical agenda.
- Manchin has long opposed the Biden administration and far-left Democrats.
