Biden Gets Served Major White House Challenge – GOP Rep. Higgins Dares Him To Put Up Windmills And Live “Without Oil And Gas”

When President Joe Biden canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline, he faced a ton of backlash. But it’s obvious that Biden plans to make the climate issue a top priority of his administration.

He appears to be in favor of many progressive climate policies, and he’s already pushing against petroleum products. Electric and renewable energy is the wave of the future, he believes.

But no matter what, ditching oil and gas entirely will take time.

And as Louisiana Rep. Clay Higgins says, it’s impossible to entirely eliminate from our day-to-day lives right now. This is a fact he wants to make abundantly clear to the President, too.

Higgins just introduced a new House resolution that basically asks Biden to practice what he preaches.

He wants POTUS to fully embrace his ideas and proposals, and live by example in the White House. Via Fox News:

Louisiana Republican Rep. Clay Higgins floated an environmental challenge to President Biden Tuesday – introducing a House resolution calling on the commander-in-chief to live without any petroleum products.

In the resolution, Higgins says “American innovation” currently drives emissions reductions, and not “job-killing government mandates.”

On top of that, if Biden wants to make a point, he should “lead by example.”

H. Res. 149 wants to see the President ditch all petroleum-based products and energy sources on Capitol Hill — this includes cameras, computers, smartphones, coffee makers, and even oil and gas energy.

Higgins goes so far as to recommend “immediately detaching the White House from the electric grid.”

They’d install windmills and solar panels on the White House lawn, and then we’ll see if Biden and his staff has everything they require.

Higgins flatly says in the resolution:

Modern life is not possible without the oil and gas industry.

These energy sources fuel the world, and petroleum-based products are found in virtually everything everywhere.

As you might expect, the White House hasn’t yet responded to Higgins’ challenge.

But that won’t stop this particular GOP member from standing up. Higgins is an Army veteran and former SWAT operator, and he’s coming down hard on Biden’s policies.

For example, here’s a snippet of what he wrote in the Daily Advertiser regarding Biden’s policies:

The resurgence of these Obama-era policies will have the same outcome now as they did then, the destruction of American jobs, higher energy costs, and undermining global security interests. Those who will benefit the most include China and Russia.

It’ll be interesting to see if Biden responds to this challenge, and how Democrats address the apparent fact that it really does seem impossible to live without petroleum-based products right now.

Key Takeaways:

  • Republican Rep. Clay Higgins introduced a new House Resolution, and it’s a challenge for President Joe Biden.
  • He wants Biden to “lead by example,” and attempt to live without petroleum-based products at the White House.
  • Higgins claims it’s currently “not possible” to live without oil and gas.
