All new Presidents face the same question: will they be able to deliver on their campaign promises? Joe Biden announced plenty of goals for the country on the campaign trail, for example.

One of those promises involved another round of stimulus checks. Though a $600 payout went through at the end of 2020, Biden had pushed for a $2,000 payout.

And he said several times he wanted more aid to arrive “fast.”

For example, just last week, Biden called the last $600 a “down-payment” and outlined a $1.9 trillion stimulus package that would include $1,400 relief checks for Americans.

During his speech (per Yahoo! News), the incoming President said there’s “no time to waste.” Also, during the Georgia Senate races, Biden said if Democrats won, more checks would go out very quickly.

Well, Democrats did sweep those races and Biden was inaugurated this week.

However, it doesn’t look like that relief will happen anywhere near as quickly as Biden suggested. Via Breitbart:

This according to PunchBowl News AM’s Jake Sherman, and Breitbart reminds us that Biden’s $1.9T proposal includes “financial help to individuals.”

Unfortunately, though, that help likely won’t happen as quickly as some had hoped.

Democrats – and former President Donald Trump – did support the idea of a $2,000 stimulus check, and Biden’s proposal basically brings the total to $2k, once you add in the first $600.

Far-left progressives want even more. Some, like Ro Khanna, actually want $2,000 every month:

For the time being, that doesn’t appear likely.

But even the one-time $1,400 payment in Biden’s proposal seems delayed at this point, so it already feels as if the new President can’t deliver on a big promise.

It should arrive at some point but with all Biden’s talk of a speedy payout, March seems awfully late, doesn’t it?
