After weeks—months, really—of delaying, the Biden campaign announced they’re picking Sen. Kamala Harris to be his running mate.
We can’t be sure how much of the decision was Biden’s, considering he shows signs of mental decline.
But the media was quick to fawn over the VP pick, some thinking she’s Trump’s worst nightmare.
This is what the president had to say:
President Donald Trump slammed Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) on Tuesday after news broke that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden had selected her to be his running mate for the upcoming election…
“She was my number one draft pick. And we’ll see how she works out. She did very, very poorly in the primaries as you know. She was expected to do well. She ended up at right around 2% and spent a lot of money.”
President Trump goaded the media by saying Harris was his “number one draft pick.”
It appears Trump is in no way worried about what impact the California senator will have on the race.
He reminded everyone she finished with 2% during the primaries, being forced to drop out relatively early (before voting even began).
In fact, she could only get 7% support within her own state.
Harris has a load of baggage from her time as a state prosecutor and senator. Although she is called a “moderate” by the New York Times, her voting record reveals she is the most leftist senator.
Even more left-wing than Bernie Sanders.
Remember, Biden was picked because Democrats were hoping his “moderate” reputation would win over some voters.
But Biden has embraced radical, far-left policies. Now, they are saying his VP pick is the “moderate.”
Yet… she also has a long history of supporting radical goals, such as Second Amendment restrictions (no AR-15’s), extreme pro-choice options, the Green New Deal, and massive taxes.
But wait, there’s more!
Trump was probably thinking about how Harris came down hard on minor drug offenses during her time as a prosecutor.
The pro-drug crowd won’t want to vote for a woman who sent thousands of black and Hispanic men to jail for just marijuana possession.
President Trump, on the other hand, was the first president to actually pass significant prison reform, giving hope to millions.
It appears Trump is looking forward to his VP, Mike Pence, smashing Harris in the debate.
- Trump trolled Democrats, saying Harris was his “number one pick.”
- President Trump mentioned Harris’s poor performance during the primaries.
- Harris will not appeal to moderates nor leftists, thanks to her controversial record.
