The Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board is being put on hold weeks after its establishment was announced to the public, and board director Nina Jankowicz will resign, sources told The Associated Press.
According to the Washington Post, DHS made the decision on Monday, and that the following morning the board’s leader, Nina Jankowicz, had a resignation letter drafted.
Score one for the good guys! It appears the DHS’s plans for a “disinformation” board are being effectively shuttered. And the suspicious woman who was put in charge of it is resigning.
Nina Jankowicz has a quasi-journalist background with no apparent government experience. Yet she was hired by the Department of Homeland Security (a group who are supposed to fight terrorists) to head this mysterious board.
Many people pointed out that Jankowicz herself had spread disinformation during the 2020 Election. She spread the false claim that Hunter’s laptop was a Russian ruse.
Yet she was supposed to run a government board that combatted false information?
Worse than that was the utter lack of details about this supposed board. What disinformation was it supposed to be addressing?
What was this board actually going to do? Was it going to pressure news agencies and social networks to take down posts and articles?
How far was Biden going to do to censor speech online and crush Americans’ rights?
Thankfully, an administration that can’t get anything right is unable to get this board off the ground.
But don’t be fooled. Biden and his goons will find another way to attack free speech. And they’ll get away with it if we let them.
