Many of President Joe Biden’s critics say his often cringe-worthy senior moments are no longer comical. There is a serious problem with our leader, and his team appears to be doing all they can to keep him propped up.

Biden has been mocked for his mumbles and stumbles, but his recent moments of freezing – physically and apparently mentally – are a cause of great concern. The White House still has him working the campaign trail as much as he can, but he keeps stepping in front of cameras where all his frozen moments are recorded.

The president has received a helping hand regularly from Barack Obama who happened to be near enough to Biden over the weekend to keep the incumbent from extending a shocking moment. The incident might indicate that Obama is at least partially invested in keeping Biden afloat into November.

At the end of a fundraiser on Saturday night studded with Hollywood celebrities, former President Barack Obama took President Biden’s hand and guided him off the stage. As the band played and Obama waved to the audience, Biden faced the audience with his hands clenched, only turning to leave when Obama took his hand to lead him off.

Biden has already suffered multiple times from apparent freezing before the public. Most recently, Biden tried to wander offer last week at the G-7 summit before Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni quickly crossed in front of a group of other leaders to go retrieve him. The White House quickly tried to say the public misconstrued the event, though.

Biden’s public blunders also included bumping heads with the holy leader of the Catholic Church. Again, at the G-7 summit, Biden stunned Pope Francis by awkwardly pressing his forehead into the forehead of the pope.

Supporters of Biden regularly try to deflect any concerns about the president’s aging issues. First Lady Jill Biden told a group of several hundred seniors that fears about her husband were unwarranted.

“Joe and the other guy are essentially the same age so let’s not be fooled. … Biden is a healthy, wise, 81-year-old ready to work every day to make our future better,” Jill Biden said just hours before her husband froze on stage at the Hollywood fundraiser.

Biden’s age and health possibly saved him from criminal prosecution in the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Hur. Hur declined to prosecute Biden for mishandling classified materials based on his mental and physical issues.

“We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” Hur wrote in his report.

The special counsel noted that as far back as 2017 when Biden was working with a ghostwriter that subjects were fuzzy. Hur stated that Biden was “struggling to remember events and straining at times to read and relay his own notebook entries” and showed signs of “diminished faculties and faulty memory.”

All the details of Hur’s investigation haven’t been released by the Department of Justice, but there may be no need. Biden’s handlers keep parading him in front of the public and he keeps freezing like a nursing home resident who can’t find the ice cream bar.
