After Roe V. Wade was overturned, radical activists went crazy. Groups like “Jane’s Revenge” targeted hundreds of pro-life groups and churches. They firebombed these centers, putting people in harm’s way.
Yet, the Biden administration has done shockingly little to investigate and prosecute activists who targeted pro-life Americans.
That could be because Biden’s White House has pushed extremist-level abortion policies. His DOJ has arrested and prosecuted dozens of pro-life activists, using a questionable law as justification. Now, two Republican leaders are moving to bring this persecution to an end.

On Monday, the DOJ announced a lawsuit against two pro-life organizations, Citizens for a Pro Life Society and Red Rose Rescue, and seven pro-life activists… on allegations they violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act nearly three years ago…The apparent selective enforcement of the FACE Act is exactly why Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) are fighting back against Biden’s DOJ and the FACE Act.
“It’s time to repeal the FACE Act,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) told Blaze News.
Biden has been aggressively using the FACE Act to prosecute parents and families. This law is dubious at best, making it a crime to “obstruct” someone from receiving medical care.
Why would anyone want to obstruct someone from reaching a clinic? Nobody would. But this law has been frequently used by leftists to accuse pro-life activists of physically preventing women from receiving abortions.
These accusations are shaky at best since it is extremely hard to prove someone is obstructing the entrance of an abortion clinic. Often, pro-life advocates stand outside or even across the street from an abortion clinic. They do not stop women from entering.
Yet Biden has abused the FACE Act to accuse these Americans of crimes they did not commit. Biden’s DOJ has prioritized this, ever since Roe was overturned. Now, Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Chip Roy are calling for this law to be revoked.
There could be grounds for this law to be overturned in the courts. A case can be made that it violates the free speech rights of Americans. Or, it could be argued that it violates Americans’ rights to peaceably assemble.
Republicans don’t have the votes to overturn this law in Congress. But it could be taken to the Supreme Court, where it might die.
