You gotta feel for Democrats (at least a little bit).
They can’t hide Biden in the basement forever. He has to come out at least once before the election.
Every time they bring him out, though, he seems to hurt his chances more and more.
We’ve seen the many times he’s made shocking gaffes, bizarre statements, and insulting comments.
But this statement might have lost him plenty of votes. Because he went after Bernie Sanders:
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden appeared to slight his former opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on Monday in an attempt to assuage voters’ concerns that he would pursue a socialist agenda if he wins November’s election…
“…I beat the socialist. That’s how I got elected. That’s how I got the nomination. Do I look like a socialist? Look at my career, my whole career. I am not a socialist.”
C’mon man! Are we really gonna buy Biden’s line that he’s “not a socialist” just because he beat the “socialist” Bernie Sanders?
Really, Joe. Your campaign has been brainstorming with Sanders’ people for a while to craft your platform.
You’ve celebrated radical socialist ideas, like the Green New Deal. Not to mention how you want to impose new regulations and taxes, killing jobs.
He told this Wisconsin group that anyone “making less than $400,000” will not see a tax increase.
Great, that means he’s going to tax everyone making more, meaning the people who own businesses and give all the other folks jobs!
Sorry, not buying the line he ain’t a socialist.
But good job alienating all those Bernie Bros out there, Joe. For most of the year, Biden has been bending over backward to win Bernie’s supporters.
They were pretty upset about how the party conspired to give Biden a lead on Super Tuesday. So, Biden lurched to the left to win them over.
Now, he’s telling this Midwest state that he “beat” the socialist.
Doesn’t he know that everyone else in the country heard too?
So, whose chain is Biden really pulling? Is he just tricking these Wisconsin voters? Or has he been leading the socialists along… all along?
- Joe Biden told a group of voters he “beat the socialist,” meaning Bernie Sanders.
- He vowed he was “not a socialist,” despite most of his platform being far-left.
- Biden’s campaign has worked with Sanders to embrace many socialist policies.
