Biden Has a 3-Word Answer for Trump Challenge – And It Isn’t What Anyone in D.C. Expected

President Joe Biden came out swinging this week when he responded to a challenge from the man who wants to unseat him. Biden issued a flaming response to former President Donald Trump that set the media world on fire.

It’s still not clear if the fiery response caused Biden to take an extra nap afterward. The president doesn’t have a history of being able to sustain a level of high activity without needing a few days rest to reenergize.

Biden was called out by the media seeking a response to Trump’s debate challenge. Biden fired off a three-word response that committed him to taking on the former president.

From Fox News:
“Set it up,” the Democratic president told reporters following a ceremony celebrating the WNBA Champions, the Las Vegas Aces, on Thursday afternoon.

Biden’s statement came after Trump repeatedly said he would debate Biden “anywhere, anytime, anyplace.”

Two weeks ago, Biden said that he would be “happy” to debate the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee.

“I am, somewhere. I don’t know when,” the president said in an interview with broadcaster Howard Stern on Friday, April 26. “I’m happy to debate him.”

Biden’s handlers are getting more careless as the campaign heats up. They failed twice now to contain his off-the-cuff remarks that make him accountable to Trump’s challenge. The question at this point is when Biden will actually step into the debate ring and take on the presumptive Republican nominee.

Trump is stuck in a politically charged courtroom battle against an out-of-control Manhattan prosecutor. After Biden’s interview with Stern, Trump laid out plans for the debate smack-down with the incumbent and said Biden could join him at the courthouse.

“In the alternative, he’s in New York City today, although probably doesn’t know it, and so am I, stuck in one of the many Court cases that he instigated as ELECTION INTERFERENCE AGAINST A POLITICAL OPPONENT – A CONTINUING WITCH HUNT!” Trump posted to Truth Social. “It’s the only way he thinks he can win. In fact, let’s do the Debate at the Courthouse tonight – on National Television, I’ll wait around!”

Biden keeps toying with the idea of a debate while Trump keeps letting him know to show up at any given place. So far Biden’s handlers have opted for him to scurry away after his responses and head back to the basement for a nap.

Trump even said he would gladly meet Biden at the White House and create a debate venue there.

“We’ll do it at the White House,” Trump said. “That would be very comfortable, actually. You tell me where. We’re ready.”

Trump has made it clear to the media that he will debate Biden at a moment’s notice.

“We’re ready, willing and able. We don’t see him and I don’t think he’ll be here. Maybe next week he’ll do it,” Trump told reporters at the Manhattan Criminal Court.

“I doubt it,” Trump said. “But maybe next week.”

Despite Biden’s latest attempt at bravado toward Trump, he has failed to get approval from his handlers to place the debate on his schedule. He claimed that any upcoming debate would depend on Trump’s behavior.

Biden needs to stop running from Trump’s debate challenge and for once own up to his own words. He can set up the debate any time he wants. Well, if his handlers approve, that is.

Key Takeaways:

  • Biden’s three-word response to Trump’s challenges set the stage for a debate.
  • The president told the media to, “Set it up,” and he would take on his challenger.
  • But in true Biden fashion, his tough-talking words didn’t match his actions.
