You might remember that, in 2020, we first learned about Hunter Biden’s infamous lifestyle. Documents from his laptop seemed to implicate him–and his father–of wrongdoing.
But why didn’t that affect the election? Because over 50 former intelligence officials signed a letter claiming the laptop was from Russia.
We later learned that the laptop was real–and Congress is currently conducting an impeachment probe against Biden. But now, it looks like the men involved in that letter were closely connected to Biden’s 2020 campaign. And that is very bad news for Joe–and a top ally.

An alleged campaign finance violation could ensnare Secretary of State Antony Blinken and 51 former senior intelligence officials who asserted without evidence in 2020 that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation…“[The] evidence suggests that the respondents failed to disclose coordinated expenditures constituting in-kind donations with respect to the infamous ‘Letter of 51’ former intelligence officials claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop story had ‘all the classic earmarks’ of Russian disinformation,” says the 13-page AFL complaint, with 110 accompanying pages of evidence.
The former intelligence officials who defended Joe Biden by calling the laptop “Russian disinformation” donated to his campaign. This information was not disclosed by the campaign, nor these officials, sparking an FEC complaint.
Stephen Miller, head of America First Legal, filed the complaint along with 110 pages of evidence. He claims that the Biden for President campaign in 2020, the Biden Victory Fund, the Democratic National Committee, and the Biden Action Fund did not report that the signees of the “Letter of 51” donated to Biden.
The media used that letter to claim the laptop story had been manufactured by Russia to derail the election. The officials who wrote the letter never provided evidence that their claims were true. They only stated that the news about Hunter’s laptop had “all the classic earmarks” of Russian disinformation.
That was enough for the mainstream media and social media to censor the laptop story. Social networks even blocked links to the original report, which had been published by the New York Post. Other media outlets spread the letter’s claims, in what appeared to be a concerted effort to protect Biden’s election chances.
Only months later did Google and the New York Times confirm that the laptop was real.
Had the Biden campaign disclosed the fact that these 51 officials donated to it, Americans might have doubted their claims. Some would have pointed out the conflict of interest that these officials wanted Biden to become president since they gave to his campaign.
That could put Biden, Antony Blinken, and others in big trouble.
