Joe Biden (or whoever is calling the shots) has made his agenda all about canceling Trump’s accomplishments.
The biggest, perhaps, is Biden’s reversal of many of Trump’s immigration reforms. He has canceled the border wall, ended “remain in Mexico,” and even halted the deportation of dangerous criminals.
But one of his changes, the ending of Operation Talon, will put many Americans at risk. So, 18 state attorneys general are demanding he change his mind.
From ABC News:
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined a coalition of 18 state attorneys general in urging Biden’s administration to reverse their cancellation of Operation Talon, which focuses on removing convicted sex offenders living illegally in the U.S…
“We’re working hard to fight human trafficking and sex crimes in South Carolina and allowing convicted sex offenders who are here illegally to remain in our country makes absolutely no sense,” said Attorney General Wilson. “
Why It’s Important:
Operation Talon would remove dangerous criminals from our country, criminals who prey on the most vulnerable.
Few people would oppose deporting these kinds of offenders, except apparently Joe Biden.
In his mad dash to erase Trump’s accomplishments, Biden canceled a program that protected women, children, and many others.
State AGs are calling on Biden to rethink the decision, considering the massive damage it will do.
Changes to criminal enforcement have immediate consequences. We’ve seen that time and again.
Whenever a liberal changes rules affecting convicts or criminals, crime statistics skyrocket almost immediately.
By ending this program, that deported heinous offenders, we might see another spike in crime. One that is simply not acceptable.
Why would Biden, or any Democrat, support that?
Don’t hold your breath waiting for Biden to respond to these AGs. Chances are, they might have to find another method of reinstating this program. Perhaps they can take their case to the courts, who could save Americans.
They’d be doing more than Joe ever did.
- Joe Biden canceled Operation Talon, which deported heinous criminals.
- 18 state AGs called on him to reinstate it.
- Changes to such policies could have a detrimental impact on the country.
