On the way out of the DOJ, Attorney General Barr revealed he would not be appointing new special counsels. That means the cases into Hunter Biden’s wrongdoing and possible election fraud might end without resolutions.
Barr appears to have veered away from Trump’s values at the end of this year. Despite concerning evidence, he claimed there was “no evidence” of voter fraud.
And he did not seem all that concerned over Hunter Biden’s activities.
So, Florida congressman Matt Gaetz offered a solution to President Trump. From Mediaite:
Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) floated the idea of President Donald Trump appointing him as United States Attorney General on Saturday night at Turning Point USA’s annual conference, following Trump announcing current AG William Barr will be stepping down from his post at the DOJ earlier this week…
“I would go easy on marijuana, tough on Big Tech, and I would go after the ‘deep state,’” he added.
Conservative firebrand Matt Gaetz called on Trump to make him his next attorney general.
Gaetz promised he’d go after the swamp, including getting “tough” with Silicon Valley and the deep state.
Gaetz also said that if Trump didn’t want him as AG, he could recommend a good replacement.
The Florida Republican became a common face during the House’s impeachment hearings last year. He was a vocal critic of the left’s bogus probe and strongly demanded answers during the process.
Since then, he has been a frequent defender and supporter of the president’s, a loud voice in the House.
His picks for AG would no doubt be staunch Republicans eager for justice and transparency.
