Bill Barr Fires Back At Protests – He Just Dropped His AG Gavel On Police ‘Systemic Racism’

Many politicians—including a few Republicans—are jumping on the “protest the police” bandwagon. But not our attorney general, Bill Barr.

Even back during the L.A. riots of the 90s, he as attorney general stood for law and order. Today, he can play a crucial role in restoring peace in our country.

And now, he’s making a powerful statement about the state of our police.

From Twitter:

“I don’t think that the law enforcement system is systemically racist.”

AG Barr acknowledges that there is racism in the U.S., and that for most of American history, institutions were explicitly racist, adding that the U.S. has been reforming those institutions since the 1960s.

Attorney General Barr is defying the left’s latest mantra by saying he doesn’t believe law enforcement is “systemically racist.”

He admitted that for much of America’s history, racism has existed. But he applauded the country—and our law enforcement agencies—for reforming since the 1960s.

Our Take:

Isn’t it odd that the police departments frequently criticized for being “systemically racist” are the ones from Democrat-run cities?

You rarely hear people attack conservative cities and towns for systematic racism. In fact, the vast majority of cases of police brutality occur in cities run by Democrat mayors.

Hmm… maybe the problem has to do with Democrats being terrible at their jobs?

Barr goes right after one of the left’s most cherished golden calves: systematic racism. He denies that modern law enforcement is racist.

And he reminds the left, which has such a short, selective memory, that our law enforcement institutions have undergone significant reform.

Since the 1960s (over fifty years ago, for anyone keeping count), police departments have improved. Cops have worked hard to improve their efforts to keep our society safe and crime-free.

If there’s still systemically racist police departments in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York, or Chicago, perhaps it’s the fault of Democrats, who refused to reform those departments?

Yet it seems like Democrats want more power to “reform” the very police departments they’ve neglected for decades.

You can’t have it both ways lefties: either you own up to your failure to reform police departments in your cities or admit your cries of “systematic racism” are bogus.

SHARE if you agree with Bill Barr.
