File this under: Democrats are never happy, no matter what.
You may have heard about AOC’s grandma back in Puerto Rico. The Democrat complained online that her home was destroyed in the hurricane back in 2017.
Although AOC is rich, with two homes and a Tesla, she demanded the government bailout her abuela.
Americans, instead, decided to show AOC that their generosity trumps socialism. A group of conservatives led by Matt Walsh raised over $100,000 for her grandma.
This is how the “family” responded.
Walsh would put together a GoFundMe campaign so that others chip in to fix the roof. Conservatives raised over $100,000 for the cause, well more than the $48,990 goal.
Walsh tweeted Saturday that, since Ocasio-Cortez’s family had apparently told the crowdfunding platform it wouldn’t be accepting the money, the fundraiser was being paused.
“UPDATE: ‘someone’ in AOC’s abuela’s family told GoFundMe that she won’t take the money, even though AOC previously claimed that her grandma was in dire straits (and it was Trump’s fault),” Walsh tweeted.
When people called out AOC for not helping her grandma—whose house was in bad shape after a hurricane—the Democrat claimed it was not “her place” to help.
Oh, so she can expect the government to give handouts to grandma, but a rich granddaughter can use some of her wealth to help?
Yeah, I’m not buying that.
Matt Walsh was able to raise $110,000 to help AOC’s grandma. But someone within the family notified the crowdfunding site that they would not be accepting the money.
Odd, huh? AOC’s grandma would not accept her granddaughter’s help, nor the help of charitable Americans.
But she’d accept the help of the government? Sure…
Want to know what probably happened? AOC, humiliated by Walsh and other conservatives, decided to reject the money.
After all, if she let her grandma take it, then conservatives could boast that they helped her abuela when she refused.
So—let’s try to keep track—AOC would rather see her grandma suffer than receive help from conservatives.
Leftists really are crazy, huh?
- AOC’s family rejected over $100,000 of aid from conservatives.
- Matt Walsh and others raised the money to help AOC’s grandma.
- AOC previously demanded the government to help her abuela’s destroyed home.
