Riley Gaines came to national fame after she opposed biological males from competing in women’s sports. Since speaking out against this growing trend, she has faced intense opposition from the mainstream media and left.
But she has continued to speak out on behalf of young female athletes. She was promoting an event, “Protecting Women’s Sports with Riley Gaines” on ticketing service Eventbrite.
But her event was removed from the website as the company accused her of violating their rules. And now, conservatives are striking back hard.
From Just the News:
The incident has put the company in hot water with conservatives, including the Republican Governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin, who directed his office and political committee to cease using Eventbrite to advertise events…
Gaines called for a boycott of the company over the removal of her event. “I love all the people in my comments saying they’ve deleted their Eventbrite account,” Gaines wrote. “Give ‘em the Bud Light treatment.”
Conservatives have come out in support of Riley Gaines after Eventbrite removed her event from its website. Eventbrite accused Gaines of violating its rules, claiming her event about protecting women’s sports was “discriminating.”
Transgender activists have recruited the help of progressive groups and companies by claiming those who disagree with their agenda are guilty of “discrimination.” This tactic has essentially prevented free and open discussion about the issue, giving transgenders freedom to say or do whatever they wish.
Gaines called for a boycott of the company, calling it the “Bud Light treatment.” Bud Light’s parent company continues to lose billions over its decision to defend the transgender movement.
Republican governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, has refused to use Eventbrite and has directed his staff to do the same. It is likely other prominent conservatives, who often host speaking events and other rallies, will avoid using Eventbrite after this episode.
It appears Eventbrite is on a warpath defending transgender ideology. It apparently removed an event called “Let Women Speak Austin” a seemingly liberal event that aimed at defending victims of abuse. Yet Eventbrite banned the event because it appeared to support the traditional definition of women.
Eventbrite has also come under fire for not removing anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian events. These events are often hosted by those calling for the eradication of an entire people group. Yet the company has not banned or removed them.
- Ticketing service Eventbrite removed conservative Riley Gaines event.
- Gaines has gained fame by opposing transgenders in women’s sports.
- Conservatives have begun to boycott the company over its progressive policies.
