After Pence Investigated by the FBI – The Former VP Just Got The Earth-Shaking Verdict

What’s Happening:

Remember all that drama over classified documents? Apparently, it was so serious that Trump held onto some documents from his time in office, that the FBI had to raid his home in Mar-A-Largo. That just happened to occur just weeks before the 2022 Election, when Republicans were poised to get a red wave.

But soon afterward, Joe Biden was nailed for holding onto many documents at his home and offices. Then, former Vice President Mike Pence voluntarily told the FBI that he had a folder marked classified in his home. The FBI opened an investigation into Pence’s situation. Many speculated on what could happen. And now we have the verdict.

From Fox News:

Former Vice President Mike Pence will not be charged in the Justice Department’s investigation into his alleged improper retention of classified records from his time in the Trump administration.

Multiple sources told Fox News that the Justice Department has closed the investigation into Pence’s possession of classified documents at his residence in Indiana.

Wow. The FBI announced they will not charge Mike Pence with anything, after discovering he held onto some classified documents. In fact, sources revealed that the case has been officially closed and the former vice president is in the clear.

It is not known if Joe Biden or Donald Trump’s cases have been closed as of this writing.

From all accounts, it doesn’t appear that Mike Pence held onto many documents. And the fact that the former vice president turned the documents in himself, submitting himself to the scrutiny of the FBI, shows he was not guilty of any crime.

That is a very different situation to Joe Biden, who blasted Trump for keeping documents while he stashed away boxes of docs in his garage.

Reports indicate that Mike Pence is set to announce a 2024 campaign. News that the FBI has cleared his name will certainly bring a sigh of relief to Pence and his supporters. The former vice president is supposedly going to announce a run as early as next week. With this no longer hanging over his head, there appear to be no hurdles in launching his campaign.

Key Takeaways:

  • The FBI will not charge Mike Pence over documents found at his home.
  • Mike Pence surrendered a folder marked classified when it was discovered.
  • The FBI has closed the investigation and notified Pence via a letter.
