Progressives in the U.S. have continued to pressure President Biden into turning on Israel. Leftists have sided with Palestinians and have spread anti-Israel views. They have even gone as far as to accuse Israel of “genocide.”

Biden may fear losing support from progressives in the upcoming election. Recently, he did the unthinkable—threatened to withhold support to Israel over the war. His pressure seemed to work as Israel is pulling troops from Gaza (even though hostages remain). Now, Hamas is making a bold claim.

Biden’s leftward bend will only hurt him in the coming election. While progressives are strongly opposed to Israel, most Americans are not. That includes most moderate Democrats—who make up most of Biden’s supporters.
