After Biden Makes Crazy $100B Demand – Top Republican Quickly Hits the Killswitch

What’s Happening:

In the aftermath of the horrific attack by Hamas, the United States voiced its support for Israel. The Pentagon has moved ships close to the area; they have already shot down incoming missile attacks.

President Biden visited the region, pledging America’s continued support for the only true democracy in the Middle East. He returned to the U.S. and issued a demand to Congress.

Biden wants $100 billion. But most of this money will not be going to Israel, but to Ukraine–which has already received close to $100 billion from America. A portion of that money will go to help Israel. More will go to Gaza and other places. Now, a GOP senator is giving Joe the bad news.

From Daily Wire:
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who works closely with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, said Friday that President Joe Biden’s request for $105 billion in foreign aid doesn’t stand a chance to pass the Senate in its current form.

“President Biden’s slush fund proposal is dead on arrival, just like his budgets. We will not spend, for example, $3.5 billion to address the ‘potential needs of Gazans,’ essentially functioning as a resupply line for Hamas terrorists,” Cotton said in a statement.

Sen. Tom Cotton, who works with Mitch McConnell, claimed Biden’s request for $100 billion is “dead on arrival.” The Republican criticized Biden for demanding more money for the Ukraine war–a conflict that has been raging for years with no end in sight.

Cotton also hit Biden for requesting a staggering $3.5 billion for Gaza, before Israel has taken out Hamas. Critics have revealed that much of the aid sent to Gaza rarely reaches civilians. Because Hamas is the ruling party of the region, money meant for humanitarian needs is used to fund the terror group.

The senator said Biden’s aid package would “resupply” Hamas in its war against our ally.

Funding for the Ukraine war has seen a drop in support among Americans. Many congressmen, including Republicans and Democrats, have championed funding for the overseas war. But many believe this money is not only helping the conflict drag on, not end it.

Some of the money Biden is requesting is supposedly going to secure the U.S. southern border. But skeptics have claimed the money will not prevent illegal border crossers, but further fund Biden’s “catch-and-release” agenda.

Key Takeaways:

  • President Biden is demanding $100 billion from Congress to fund the Ukraine war, support Israel, and provide money to Gaza.
  • Tom Cotton said Biden’s request is “dead on arrival” in its current form.
  • The Republican accused Biden of trying to “resupply” Hamas by sending $3.5 billion to Gaza.
