Joe Biden claims to be the president of “unity.” Except, whenever it comes to dealing with Republicans, one word always seems to come up. Petty. Joe Biden is such a petty partisan “leader,” that he goes out of his way to spite Republican leaders. Because GOP governors oppose his tyrannical administration, he punishes them in whatever way he can.
Case in point, he is–for the third year in a row–shutting down the 4th of July Celebration at Mount Rushmore.

Biden originally banned the celebration in 2021, blaming COVID. So, why in 2022? Why this year? He has no real reason, except to deny the Republican Gov. Noem the satisfaction of celebrating at the national monument. But that is just the start of the left’s war on this iconic location. Democrats are trying to destroy its very existence. So, Republicans are striking back.

House Republicans this week proposed legislation aimed at protecting Mount Rushmore from being altered, renamed or demolished by activists who say the monument disrespects Native Americans.
The Mount Rushmore Protection Act would prohibit the use of federal funds to change, destroy or rename the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The bill from Rep. Dusty Johnson, R-S.D., is a response to criticism that has grown since former President Donald Trump visited the site in 2020.
Why should we be surprised to learn activists hate Mount Rushmore? The monument celebrates some of America’s greatest leaders. But they are all white men–so of course the left hates them. Criticism has abounded for years about the location of the monument, which the far-left claims were once sacred to Indian tribes.
At a time when leftists are tearing down or renaming statues and buildings, it will only be a matter of time before they set their sights on Mount Rushmore. They could rename it or alter it in some way. Or perhaps destroy it, which would only end in an environmental disaster for the area.
House Republicans introduced a bill preventing federal funds from altering the monument. At this point, it is only a symbolic gesture. But it is a sign that Republicans will do what they can to not only protect this landmark but our national heritage.
Because if they don’t, Democrats will erase every last trace of it.
