After AOC Condemns Pro-Gaza Event, Her Critics Send Her 1 Gut-Punch Reply

It seems Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying to distance herself from anti-Israel progressives. Despite being a far-left progressive herself, the congresswoman has recently condemned the growing antisemitism among liberals protesting the Israel-Hamas war.

She hasn’t gone far enough to shut down this movement, however. AOC still endorses anti-Israel sentiments and accused conservatives of falsely calling minorities antisemites.

Recently, she viciously condemned an event being hosted by pro-Palestinian group “Within Out Lifetime.” The event called “A Day of Rage for Gaza” saw progressives marching through New York. They got unruly, carrying banners that supported terrorism and spreading, celebrating the October 7th attack. But after AOC attacked the group, they dropped a bombshell on her.

From The Post Millennial:
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted on X condemning an antisemitic rally in New York City organized by the extremist pro-Palestine group Within Our Lifetime (WOL) despite her previous attempts to partner with the organization…

“You are a genocide apologist,” WOL organizer Nerdeen Kiswani said in response to the congresswoman. “This is why when your staff asked WOLPalestine if you can speak at our Queens rally in 2021 we said NO. What’s callus is the Zionist exhibit used to manufacture consent for genocide, but you don’t care since you didn’t vote against funding it.”

Without Our Lifetime is a pro-Palestinian group that is protesting Israel’s war with Hamas. During its “Day of Rage for Gaza,” it showcased shockingly antisemitic and hateful banners and slogans. Some of the protesters even carried Hezbollah flags and other flags of terror groups.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decried the event, saying it was “callousness, dehumanization, and targeting of Jews.” As a Democrat representing a New York district, she cannot afford to appear antisemitic in a city full of Jewish people.

Yet despite her virtue signaling in condemning this movement, the group’s organizations told a different story. They blasted AOC as a “genocide apologist.” But then they claimed she had wanted to speak at their previous events as recently as 2021.

WOL was just as antisemitic in 2021 as they are today. Why would AOC have been eager to speak at their events three years ago but not today? AOC has been accused of spreading anti-Israel and antisemitic views in the past. Perhaps now she is changing her tune because she knows that taking an anti-Israel stance is going to cost Democrats the election.

Key Takeaways:

  • Without Our Lifetime, a pro-Palestinian group protesting Israel’s war, hosted a “Day of Rage for Gaza.”
  • Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned the group’s “callousness” and “dehumanization” of Jews.
  • Despite AOC’s condemnation, the group accused her of wanting to speak at their past events.
