Acosta tried to bait Trump, but it backfired big time.
Millions voted for Donald Trump because of one big reason:
He tells you exactly what he’s thinking, all the time.
There’s no political double-speak, no slickly worded lies, no vague answers.
Trump doesn’t care who he offends, either, and if you have a problem with that … too damn bad!
So, when CNN’s Jim Acosta asked the President a loaded question, you knew Donald’s reply was going to be just perfect.
During the G-20 press conference in Osaka, Japan, Acosta stood up and asked Trump:
“And what is it with your coziness with some of these dictators and autocrats at these summits?
With Mohammad Bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, when you were asked about the case of Jamal Khashoggi, you did not respond to that question in front of the Saudi Crown Prince.”
Trump replied that “nobody asked me,” and Acosta followed with:
“Were you afraid of offending him on that subject?”
Trump’s reply got big laughs from the audience:
Acosta – are you afraid of offending him on that subject?
Pres. Trump: Not at all. I don't really care about offending people. I sort of thought you would know that

“No, not at all. I don’t really care about offending people. I sort of thought you’d know that.”
Yup, that’s our President!
But Trump wasn’t done taking shots at Acosta, who has historically attempted to bait Trump into confrontations.
After talking about Acosta’s new book (which has barely moved the sales needle), Donald said to the other journalists in the room:
“I get along with everybody — except you people, actually.“
Of course, Acosta wasn’t about to give up on the issue of Jamal Khashoggi, asking Trump if he agreed that it was “despicable” to kill a journalist in such a grisly fashion.
Trump said he absolutely agreed that it was a despicable act, and that he thought it was “horrible.”
Furthermore, he added:
“And, if you look, and look into Saudi Arabia and you see what’s happening, 13 people or so have been prosecuted. Others are being prosecuted.
They’ve taken it very, very seriously, and they will continue to. And I’ve let everybody know I’m not — I’m very unhappy about that whole event.”
Seems like Trump has Acosta covered on every angle this time!
And again, this is a President who isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and to tell everyone – journalists included – exactly how it is.
Maybe one of these days, guys like Acosta will finally start treating Trump with a little respect.
…though we’re not holding our breath. Are you?
