Our Lives, Our Treasure, And Our Sacred Honor
I am sure some people who read this blog wonder why I mention the Founders as often as I do. To leftists, I am outdated and out of touch. To those who know better, I am telling what needs to be told. Patriots started this country, and modern day Patriots are going to save this country. To be a true Conservative Patriot, you understand that there are four dates in history that mean everything; the day God created the heavens and the earth, the day Jesus Christ was born, the day Jesus rose from the dead, and July 4, 1776. These four dates have had more positive impact on the world than any others in history.
Independence Day to most people today is another summer day, but with a parade and fireworks. We as a people have enjoyed this country our entire lives. Generations of Americans have been free to pursue their dreams without having to worry where their freedom had gone or if they were going to be able to give their children a good life. America has had its bumps in the road to fulfilling the vision of the Founding Fathers but we are closer than any nation ever has been, and with our knowledge and hard work we will remain the most free country ever created. The hard barriers have been overcome. The Civil War stopped the biggest threat to our country and the Civil Rights Act cleaned up the rest.
The new threat to our security as a nation comes from within. It is the lack of education. Public education has been unconstitutionally controlled from Washington for a long time. Government of the left has taken over the public education system with entrenched bureaucracy, and has transformed it into a nationwide indoctrination camp organization to churn out more leftists. The Founding Fathers are not taught as heroes but rather as oppressors and greedy Capitalists in the country that they created. This is an abomination that must end. It is essential to know where you came from before you know where you are going.
The Founding Fathers were heroes, plain and simple. They sent King George III of Great Britain a letter declaring the colonies in America as independent states. This letter was the Declaration of Independence. If you are a student of history, you will know that in their day, defiance of the King was most certainly going to get you a date with the gallows. To defy the British government and monarchy in this way had never been done. The British at the time were the worlds superpower. The British Navy was the best and largest ever afloat. The British Army was the best equipped and largest on earth. No nation on earth had conquered as much land and in the process become so rich as Great Britain and its worldwide empire.
The Founding Fathers knowing these facts wrote this as the final line of the Declaration of Independence;
"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor"
They knew that they were going to die. They were praying that God would deliver them to victory. There was no way on earth that the ragtag colonists were going to defeat the military of Great Britain. But, they were still willing to risk everything, and I do mean everything, to try and achieve this gift we spoiled children enjoy hundreds of years later. We all know the outcome of the Revolutionary War, but if the British had won the war, every Founding Father would have been rounded up and hung, their property would have been seized and their families would have been black-balled. These men were the first to risk it all for the dream we call America. If that is not heroism, nothing is. George Washington among many others risked his life on the actual battlefield. Their story has always inspired me and I will always be thankful for their sacrifice that gave me the opportunity to be free.

There are precious few people that have actually put these on the table for others. If you think about it, the only true heroes are the ones that do. We have heroes like that today in our military and in men and women that save others while risking their own lives. However, it was the Founding Fathers that made it possible for all of us. God Bless their souls!

I agree that we must know the past to build the future. It is also essential to value the true heroes of a country. I admire the American nation, the achievements in science and culture. But mostly I admire the freedom that other nations do not exist. I only wish the American nation more respected nature. I contend that, by the fact that freedom without respect for the environment is a serious mistake. But not only the U.S.A, like all other countries should respect nature because it is the greatest treasure on earth. The day that man to give his own life to helping nature, this day humans will be a true HERO.

First let me thank you for the comment. I couldn't agree more with you that freedom is the key to American exceptionalism. I do not agree that the USA as a nation is not respectful of the environment. In fact, I have been to many other countries in the world and it is my observation that the USA is probably the most respectful of the environment of them all. That is not to say there is no room for improvement. Nearly all Americans want a clean environment without pollution. There is no way to have zero pollution but with the technology we have achieved and will achieve due to our free market capitalist system, I am sure we will come close in time while making resources last longer. God has granted all of us stewardship of the earth and its creatures and it is the right thing to respect that.
