The 15 Minute Pick Me Up

I was watching FOXNews the other day and everything got to me all at once. I had to turn it off. I didn't want to hear about the next liberty or the next unalienable right that Congress was planning to vote away. And yes it is UN-alienable NOT IN-alienable. If any moron leftist wants to dispute your grammar tell them to read Thomas Jefferson's way of spelling it in one of his writings called the Declaration of Independence! Sorry I had to say that, but coffee shop intellectuals make me want to strangle them with their own wool turtlenecks, don't worry I do restrain myself. I enjoy making them look silly in front of their friends. Anyway, the constant drone of bad news can get anyone down in the dumps. I know this, I am human believe it or not and although I am not bi-polar, the constant ringing in my ears of Obama's voice and the irony of our situation pointed out everyday on talk radio and FOXNews can drive even the most optimistic people crazy. But of course I have the remedy to this. "Sure you do Michael, what are you now?  a psychologist?" No, but let me explain.

To fix this momentary lapse of optimism I think of what inspires me in the first place. Why do I spend hours writing this blog and reading the news and books etc? Why did I give the Marine Corps 4 years of service? Why do I even care? Believe me it would take a book for me to answer those questions, but the funny thing is that what I have given is nothing! I have given nothing compared to other brave Patriots. My little contribution to America is good for me so far and I would not take any of it back but some have given everything for America. Some people are dead and not buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Some troops are still dead or missing in foreign countries. Think of the Founding Fathers and what they risked. Think of George Washington and his rag-tag militia at Valley Forge. The winter of 1777 at Valley Forge was hardship that most likely none of us have ever had to endure or ever will. Those men had nothing to fall back on like we do. There wasn't the rich history then, that now we have the luxury of  looking back on. For them it was David vs. Goliath. If they didn't win they were all probably going to hang. That takes courage beyond what most Americans can fathom now, apart from combat veterans. They were fighting for freedom from tyranny. I can't help but think that they also thought about the history they were making and the place in history they would hold if they won.

We also must also think of the history we are making and how we will be viewed in the future. I am confident that I speak for the overwhelming majority that reads the Patriot Journal that we want to be known as the Patriots that would not quit when the going got tough. We are not going to be the generation that let the greatness of America and the labor and sacrifice of generations before us be in vain. We will not allow for a minority of extreme leftists destroy what centuries of our forefathers worked so hard to give us. It's not happening on our watch! America is not over 'til we say it's over! Feel the pump now? Feel like kicking leftist buttocks now? Exactly. Give me 15 minutes of quiet thought and I am ready to fight on. Leftists are miserable all of the time and it gives them pleasure to know that others are miserable with them. I never let them get me miserable. Annoyed and tired of hearing the constant barrage sure, but ready soon after to continue the fight for freedom that hopefully future generations of true Patriots like us will look back and say thanks.

If you think about it George III of England was probably the best thing that could have happened to the United States of America. That one man along with Parliament was able to motivate the Founding Fathers to create this wonder. Barack Obama has been elected to office and is abusing the privilege. He has done more to motivate Conservatives than anyone since Ronald Reagan. It's wonderful how more ordinary people now know intimate details about Washington politics because of Obama. Even the country club Republicans are now exposed. We call them RINO's and people other than political junkies finally know this too. That inspires me and keeps me motivated. It's great what Obama has done for Conservatives. As much as he can be annoying to listen to, his presence makes me know that we have alot of work to do. Everyone loses their sense of direction every once in a while, and it's not a bad thing as long as you don't let things go over the cliff. Republicans have allowed RINO's to infiltrate their ranks and Conservatism had gotten very watered down since the days of  the Reagan Revolution. However, when we go back to the founding documents and the Founding Principles the fires start burning right away. The Spirit of '76 is again a big part of all of our lives. I don't know about you but I feel better already.
