The Democrats: Populism, Propaganda, And Power

I don't think alot of people realize it but this week is when Congress is going to be voting on whether or not to pass a bill that is going to lead to nationalized health care. In 10 short months we have gone from just another change of Presidents and one party to the other, something we have done for 233 years, to a leftist disguised as a moderate, systematically dismantling the country from a democratic republic to a centrally controlled communist state. I know this sounds crazy, and I never would have read something like this 2 years ago and not laughed and called the writer a nut, but this is what is happening. I am hoping that the American people wake up in numbers and realize that this is very bad. If not, be prepared to have the individualism squeezed out of you with excessive taxation or beaten out of you literally when you go to jail for opposing the central government.

There are people that tell me that I am crazy because "all we have to do is vote them out next time". True we can vote them out, but the damage they are doing is not going to be able to be fixed in the time it took them to implement it. The government apparatus that will be set up for government health care will be huge. Getting rid of government health care will be as hard to remove as getting rid of a cabinet position like the Department of Education. It will never happen unless we have a Conservative President for the next 30 years along with a filibuster proof Conservative Senate and an overwhelming Conservative majority for the same amount of time. The reason being that people called bureaucrats will be hired, then union workers will be hired to do the labor work and viola! you have a government bureaucracy that is nearly impossible to get rid of. The democrats have been planning this incrementally for years.

Now we are going to see the culmination of their insecurities, class jealousy and voracious thirst for power come to fruition. Now don't get me wrong I am not a fatalist but I am afraid because a populace that has been rocked to sleep with prosperity for so long has gotten lazy and selfish. It seems that there are alot of people that refuse to pay attention until it affects them directly, then when they are affected they are too lazy to educate themselves to find out why and from whom they are being directly affected. The democrats have done it again in this current financial crisis. Still to this day after all that has been revealed about the current recession and the democrats obvious complicity and promotion of it 55% of Americans in the latest Rasmussen Poll still blame President Bush. President Bush has to take some blame for not raising the alarm loud enough. But anyone who reads the Patriot Journal knows that the democrats including the Clintons and others in Congress and their babies fannie mae and freddie mac are what caused this and that Obama and the democrats are perpetuating this. The only way out of this is to demonize the real demons responsible for this and inform people why they want this to happen. People like John McCain want to reach across the aisle. Reaching across the aisle gets your hand slapped.

Central government is terrible for the working class. Ask eastern European countries how Communism worked for them. The USSR collapsed amid shortages in everything including health care, bread and toilet paper. Cuba is having a problem right now with a shortage of toilet paper. Is that what we want? Shortages in toilet paper? let alone bread and health care. Central government in Washington could never know the in's and out's of Henderson, Nevada or Butte, Montana or even towns and cities and states near them. Only your local community knows what you need and want, and only your local, county, and state governments should be responsible for community needs and wants. Our federal government was not set up to do what they are doing. The founding fathers would be in shock at the scope and breadth of federal power now. They wouldn't recognize it as the government they set up.

I guess what I really want is for people to ask themselves the questions that I have. Like, If all of this is so good for us, why the secrecy? why are the democrats in Congress trying to sneak things by us? Wouldn't it be logical if their policies really are better to post them for all to see and revel in how great they are? Why do democrats hide their true intentions? They use populism and propaganda like Goebbles and Lenin, the masters of propaganda of the past. The ignorant are sucked in by the populism and indoctrinated by the propaganda. I always have to argue even with people that are intelligent to not fall for their propaganda. Don't go along with laws that are meant to protect you from yourself, like anti-smoking laws, driving laws and trans-fat laws etc. These laws were started to eventually ban fire arms, because fire arms are a danger to government. I get the inevitable "But Mike no one wants to go to a bar and smell smoke" I laugh and say what if you owned the bar and your best customers are smokers? What if you owned a business and the government told you what you could and couldn't do with your business when it comes to legal substances like tobacco or maybe even fragrances or colors of the walls. You would be angry. If you give government an inch they won't take a mile they will take a hundred miles. I tell them that if there were a market for non-smoking bars and they made money there would be non-smoking bars. If there are so many like you open a bar and cash in on the enormous non-smoking bar crowd. Of course after saying all that I get the tilted head look I get from my dog when I ask him a question. Some people will never understand because they cannot think outside the box that their brain is in.

First it's smoking, but eventually it will be how many squares of toilet paper you use per bathroom visit. Is that when people will wake up and say "wait a minute"? I hope not because by then it will be too late. People do not realize that a central government will control everything. That means that only the political class will enjoy the fruits of our labor and we will owe a never ending debt to the company store also known as the IRS. I don't know about the rest of America but I would rather live on a deserted island than to deal with that. All Americans, need to realize that the democrats are liars. They say we do not want anyone to get in between you and your doctor and pass laws that will do just that as they are lying to your face. They will say things and do the exact opposite, then blame Conservatives and deny the proof showing they were responsible. They are a party of "Baghdad Bob's" lying to your face when the proof is obvious. But, "since dad and mom voted democrat I am a democrat for life". It makes me want to vomit. They aren't your daddy's democrat party anymore. Unless of course your daddy was a communist. Just like Obama's parents and grandparents.

This week there is talk of the countries of the world replacing the dollar as the currency used to trade oil. Why is this? Because the Obama administration is killing the value of the dollar by running up the deficits to enormous, unsustainable levels. Also printing more money which as everyone knows from economics 101 raises inflation and makes the currency less valuable. Everyone in their lifetime has seen this happen to some extent but this on this size and scale is a very bad thing. People around the world are losing confidence in America as a stable country with a stable currency. This to me is especially revolting because this is a manufactured crisis and it is being perpetuated by Obama and the democrats in Congress. These people are ruining our economy so they can take more control of it. If it were up to me they would all be in jail for doing this. Our only hope is 2010. We must take back control of Congress in 2010 or be ready to lose all that you have in the coming years.

I know there are alot of people out there that are as angry as I am about these people taking over our country. They are not going to get away with it for long. If they succeed it will take a little time for people to get used to the disaster then the anger will set in and then there will be a revolution. Hopefully peaceful but probably not, and I don't want to have to live through civil war 2. The problem is that the left will never give up, ever. The leftists in Russia are back in power again and trying to go back to the past. It never ceases to amaze me how relentless these people are. They remind me of the new zombie movie. You have to shoot them to stop them. Conservatives on the other hand want to be left alone and not have everything they work for confiscated so some idiot can have more power 2500 miles away. I am not panicking however because I believe alot of people are afraid of this and that brings out droves of voters. If 2010 and 2012 go bad for Conservatives for whatever reason then I am going to really worry about the long term viability of the country, but not until then.

Good read. While you diagnose the problems, the solutions are found somewhat wanting. 2010 elections are no more a fix for the fiscal deathwish of this country than a candy bar fixes diabetes. The GOP cannot help restore the foundation of American government; they are only the slow bleed to the Dems going for the jugular. There are consequences for countries that chose to ignore blatent debt and smile upon inflation as a false path to wealth, that is they cease to exist as a power of any real consequence. The US has been a world power since the end of the Civil War, however it was freer country before a desire for global power took root. A collapse of the national system can only mean a return of local governence as it was intended from 1789. The power structure should start with the individual and work its way up to the federal (not national) level, opposite of the current arrangement. If this occurs our comfort via Social Security, unemployment benefits, medicare etc will come to an abrupt end. Good riddance.

I don't have as cynical a view of America as you do. 2010 is the triage, the real work comes after that. People that are blowing the death horns of America need to stop and start helping restore what the founders intended. The GOP is just a party, the conservative Patriots of this country are the ones that are going to stop this spiral and restore what we have. Ronald Reagan did the exact same thing in 1980. Just because Obama and the leftists say America sucks does not mean it does. Obama was elected as a centrist and now governs as a communist. Take a picture of the current government because by 2012 you won't recognize it. I agree with the reduction of the the federal government by the way, the Federal Reserve and all of the social programs as well. They all need to go. Thanks for the comment.

Elections wont solve the problem if they are fixed.Remember all the accusation of the Demoncrafts,Bush stole the elections, let me just state this even if he or those in power did steel it my heart tells me it was to save us from a greater evil.We reached a point where the elections of 08 were stolen not maybe and yet not too many voices spoke out,yet there's lots of proof I even have some information that points to this and yet I was helpless to do anything. We were so deranged from the bush hate noone could SEE.tell a lie enough times and people will believe it.Most people didnt know and still dont that the administration of GWBush was the first in about40+ years to have any real Republican power, yet it was weakened quickly which is what we are trying to do to the Demoncrafts unbalanced majority on the floor but I am afraid it will be too late and too much damage has been done.I tell you one thing I think is savin our us is the character of the good people in our nation, we are the most generous and compassionate people of a nation ever in history. We should not be ashamed like so many leftist tell us, there are always Judas in every group, some persons like to see others fail some get off on that. For the most part we have noble, hard working loving people and we need to reflect the good we need to lift up the good we have done, its like placing a candle in a dark room.Listen the room is big and has plenty of darkness but that little candle will give light and comfort to the smallest.I hope you can hear me.Something I want to mention here remember clint when he was not have sexual encounters with monica in the hallway where they make coffee so everyone or anyone could see, guess it was exciting you know, well i believe he wanted to get caught to shame this nation in front of the world so that those who wanted to (911) kill us would be justified and supported by the globalist. It is a mentality a state of mind it is not concrete/tangible. It is how we are portrayed by the media, they the media are cutting their own throat. Yea we are in deep but with God nothing is impossible, we need to get back to our roots and split away from them, we are many and they are few.But they have their hand on the trigger we are a lamb lost in the woods hoping to be found by a Shepard.2012 is around the corner and that is another subject but I think we need to start taking care of our family and prepare for the unexpected, if you are rich my advice is to give it away before they take it from you because as they whomever did in Cuba, in Venezuela so it shall be done here.I am not claiming this I am warning of this and telling you the recipe is to begin to help your neighbor in trouble dont wait for the government to help them it is the duty of the church which really is the people not an organization, the church is the body of believers.Wow some of you will not understand this.I will continue my thoughts to complete my statement on a second entry it didnt fit here.

It's not a lack of faith in America per say, I lack faith in the ability of either party to have the political capital to correct the fiscal albatross around the govt.'s neck. I have complete faith in the American people and you are right to say restoration of sound policy must be enforced via citizens not party infrastructure. I guess my cynicism comes from the fact that this decay in American financial, diplomatic, and domestic policy is not some new phenomenon. IMO, it has been slowly but very surely building on itself almost the entire history of the country. The farther along you follow our country's history, the faster it accelerates with only small outliers of prudent governance to try to poke the fingers in the dike. Even if somehow the GOP has a massive power swing in 2010, judging from the past there is no way it will be able to stop the digression, only blunt it temporarily. What do I think the answer is then? Just like private companies, let the federal government fail budgetwise. The US isn't going to be invaded or have social collapse, but a clean sweep of all departments and forced drastic reduction in spending across the board will be in the long-term best interest. It will hurt, but the pain will be a sign of healing, not the death of America. Another reason I have a serious lack of faith in the GOP's abililty is simple tax reductions will not do it. We need a total overhaul of the progressive tax code, abolish the federal reserve and once again base the dollar against gold and silver supply, and perhaps most importantly term limits. I do not hear a coherent platform exposing such radical ideas from the GOP, only vague slogans while not nec. bad ideas, do not have the political longevity to create true restorative adjustments in the federal system. Nevertheless, eventually these issues must be addressed one way or the other and we will persevere the better for it on the other side.

I agree with you on every proposal and you are probably right. The only problem I have is that a collapse would be the "crisis" that extremists would use. If a collapse happens things are going to get very very bad here. The problem we all have as a people is that we rely on the government for too much and have let them train us to rely on them. We as a people need to fundamentally change. The government only relflects us as a whole. Education is the key in my opinion and we need to educate the rest of America with what we are discussing here. I just hope that we can turn the ship around for future generations.

Agreed. The key is the education system. I'm in college and I cannot stress how strong the progressive mindset is taught each and every day in every history, social science, and even straight biology class. Notice Obama took full federal control of student loans the other week....students know who they owe their allegiance too. On dependency of the govt., thats why I think a federal budgetary collapse is exactly what's needed to get Americans off the federal teet. The radical left has long dreamed of using social spending to overwhelm the system, however I think that will be when people return to Liberty and reject collectivist ideology that is so prevalent today.

Yes. I believe the only way to stop all of this is to de-federalize it all. The only way to do that is to close the loopholes with a sweeping amendment that again limits federal government. After that the states and local govts can do what they want with education and it will leave people with alot more power over their schools and childrens education. De-federalization will open alot of doors and freedoms.

Unfortunately I have known for decades what has been going on in our nation. NOT because i am a brain or anything like that, i dont want to sound like i am boasting, i am NOT! This is the reason why i knew decades before what was happening all along: My mother and me were at the US embassy in 1960 trying to board a plane for the US, the security looked at our papers and saw that I was born in the United States and took us to the front of the line, and there were people running all over the place in panic of their life to get out. I did not fully understand at age 4 however I was forever changed in one day from a 4 year old child to a 44 year old adult. I saw things different that others from that point on. I never fit into any group and was rejected by all races, in fact I was persecuted by all the kids in school. In fact the other kids would corner me to abuse and torment me, I am not sure why. But I would cry inside my heart because all I wanted was to be accepted therefore I forgave them and never held any hate for the others. These experiences opened my mind to a level of awareness that follows me to the present. I am extremely grateful to be in this country in spite of all the agony I watched my family go through, being separated from their family, losing their homes and business in Cuba. We were not even able to see our family when they were dying, can anyone image what that is like? The amount of guilt one carries by leaving them behind is enormous. never the less, we are very thankful to be here because the torture that people went through and still go through in a communist nation is horrendous. The force or the spirit behind the system that arrest someone for let say smoking pot or something minor where a person was put behind bars for years without any hope because they lacked the money to hire an attorney has been going on for decades. Thousands of lives have been destroyed by excessive use of power right here in America. What i am trying to say about that is slowly this power grew and grew and we all know that absolute power corrupts. Now we have an out of control for power of which people like nancy palosi and harry reid are king and queen, they make my stomach turn because i see right through them. Also this hype to hate Mr. Bush was another sign we were in trouble for me, it was non-proportional. I could see this because of simple common sense, and you will laugh but point your finger at someone right now. What do you have just look at your hand. I wont tell you I will let you figure this out. If you can not write me and ask me but the truth is simple it is common ground. I dont know what to say, I think i talk too much. But being silent is not something i am good at. Please let keep the dialog alive and give me feedback. Ask questions. But dont be silent it is not golden it is suicide. God forgive America and wake up its people.

Here is an analogy, when agents are trained to recognize counterfeit money they dont need to learn all the different counterfeits there are they only need to learn what the real thing looks like down to the tiny details that enables them to quickly recognize the counterfeit. Please dialog with me.

I agree, the leftist cause is to control and in order to control you must take away everything that is worth fighting for and make the populace dependent on the government for everything. They make no secret about it and are implementing their plans as we speak. We need to educate the masses, you and I both along with every other red blooded Patriotic American need to inform everyone that will listen and even the ones that won't listen as to what is happening and how to stop it. Otherwise we risk civil war.
