It is still amazing to me that even with 2 out of every 3 Americans opposed to government health care, that the leftist democrats are still trying to pass a bill. I guess all of the townhalls, the phone calls, the e-mails, the letters, and the million plus tea partiers that showed up in Washington on the 12th of September have not convinced them that messing with our health care is going to equal political suicide. The democrats almost got away with this.

     They created a crisis by mandating that anyone could get a home loan. Then when the house of cards was collapsing because not everyone can afford a home loan they seized control of banks and car companies under the auspice of saving the economy from the brink of total collapse. This by the way is complete nonsense and any economist without bias would tell you that. Then after spending billions on bailouts for the selected companies that they were going to control they set aside the "stimulus" bill for an injection for re-election season, which won't work by the way. Then as if not enough had been spent, the democrats all alone in majority passed the "omnibus" bill which by definition covers all but in reality was a cute name for a payback the political supporters bill. Yes, we paid Obama's campaign debt to the lobbyists and cronies that had helped him get elected and of course the entities that he supports. The most notable being ACORN. We all know what kind of organization they are.

     Then, on top of all of that, as if things were not bad enough with the national debt that was increased by 30% and the deficit that was 4 times larger than any deficit ever, and the economy in shambles, unemployment at more than 7% (now at almost 10%) Obama and the democrat controlled Congress tried to sneak in the trillion dollar health care bill. The cost of the bill is just one unacceptable aspect, the main one being a complete government takeover of the private health care system which equals 1/6th of the economy. This whole year has been one attack after another on our liberties. The funny thing is everyone knows it and like psychotic zombies knowing that the chopping block is in their future they press on. Democrats are like terminators, they are never going to stop until Sarah Connor crushes them in a metal press machine. I would prefer them to be crushed by Sarah Palin in a big red Conservative machine but we will make them pay before 2012. Hopefully by that time Obama has been a lame duck for 2 years, controlled by a Conservative Congress so he cannot cause the country anymore harm.

     The beauty of all of these trials that we are enduring and all of the emotions we are feeling is that through this we have sharpened our senses and now they can never slip something by again without us knowing. Americans are not stupid, alot of us are ignorant politically but not because we choose to be. Life happens. We have families and jobs and other responsibilities and figure that we shouldn't have to worry about "representatives" trying to transform the nation so they become "rulers". Now we know better and millions of average Americans have gone back to government 101 and civics 101 and have learned what it all means so that they understand what all the talk is about. It has been refreshing to see, although I wish people had listened before they voted for Obama and given the democrats a filibuster proof senate.

     Another wonderful little nugget from all of this is the fact that independents and moderates from both sides are seeing how radical the so called "Progressives" really are. The democrat party is controlled by the far left and they are showing their true colors. Committed leftists only make up at best 20% of the population. The other 80% is split between Conservatives and Independents equally. How any Independent could vote for a democrat again when nearly 70% of them are against government health care is going to be fun to see in 2010 and 2012. Any American that has any loyalty to the Founding Principles and the Constitution could not vote democrat in the next elections.

     The perfect storm of arrogance and idiocy came together on November 4, 2008. The democrats in the modern era never had control of both houses with a filibuster proof majority and a far left President. They were like dogs knowing they were going to the park, like children knowing they were going out for ice cream. They couldn't do it the ideal and ultimately beneficial for them way. Which would have been incrementally inch along like always, chipping away slowly at our freedoms. No, they couldn't control themselves and tried to pass a monster by us overnight. They still are trying to pass it off as a good for us. There is nothing more annoying than someone lying in your face and you calling them on it and they don't miss a beat and continue to lie to your face. It makes you want beat them with a telephone pole.

     There are two things that are going to happen. Either they will compromise and drop the government control issue in any form to get something bi-partisan passed, or they are going to ram through a bill with a government option and pray everyone forgets. Neither choice is a good one. The democrats are going to be in the minority again for a while I predict. People are too aware now, the internet and conservative media have made that possible. The more the left shows their goals for this country and are proven liars the better, either way we have alot of work to do and alot of Congressional switch boards to melt. This would have been passed in June if we had not protested it. Give ourselves a pat on the back then continue the crusade to bring this country back to what the Founders envisioned.
