I can hear the leftists in response to the title of this article. "You just hate Obama because he's black" You all know the same tired labels they use to defuse opposition to Marxists. I was born a week and a half before the start of the Tet Offensive which started in late January 1968 in Vietnam so I don't remember the year of 1968 but I know quite a bit about the history. I know that 1968 was alot more tumultuous than 2009 is, but I believe 2009 is and 2010 will be very bad years for our country in alot of ways. Leftists are eroding the fabric of our country, but for the first time since "the" Revolution in 1776, Conservatives are seeing that everything is slipping away into the abyss and are not going to stand idly by. I believe Obama and the communist 111th Congress are going to do serious damage to our way of life. However, it can all be undone, and the enlightenment of alot of ignorant and apathetic people is the first step to that recovery.

     Americans have had it so good for so long that they really have no clue what they have. For most people alive today only a handful 40 and younger have spent time in a war or have had hard times like living for days without food or shelter. Even the baby boomers have had it easy, really. Aside from the boomers that spent time in Vietnam the rest of life as far as the necessities have been a piece of cake. When material things and life in general comes that easy you start to dwell on the small stuff like how good your body looks in a swimsuit or how to get financing for that pool with a waterfall in the backyard, or whatever eccentric quirk you might have manifested in your bored mind. It's easy to fall into that state of mind because with opportunity comes prosperity and with prosperity comes spoiled people and even more spoiled children. Then those children grow up and become losers because nothing in life has taught them what it takes to make it without a silver spoon in their mouths.

     It's all coming together now and metastasizing into this Marxist President and Congress taking away our liberties. I get into conversations everywhere about the health care debate (a debate created by Obama and the Congress out of the blue by the way, when they should be focusing on the economy) and the same thing I hear out of alot of mouths that have no political common sense whatsoever is "we are a rich country and there is no reason that everyone cannot have health care". If they seem willing to learn I will take the time to explain why that attitude is the reason we are in the mess we are in in the first place, but most of the time it is futile. However I always give my point of view regardless and back it up with facts and history. I have turned some people around on the spot and at least planted a seed in minds of alot of others. Sadly most are defiant, which is another subject that is amazing to me. Personally, I do not argue with people that are obviously schooled in a particular subject that is foreign to me, I try to pick their brains for the knowledge and then find others with the same knowledge or research myself for more validation. I do not make a fool of myself pretending to know something I do not. It is not shameful to ask questions when you do not know. I learn something new everyday. Arguing with someone that knows what they are talking about makes you look like a complete moron.

     What people are having a hard time coming to terms with is the fact that Obama is a committed "in your face" aggressive version of Marxist trying to accomplish the same goals that every other democrat since FDR has been trying to accomplish, but they were not as obvious or aggressive. People think that a President could never do what he is doing, but Obama is showing everyone how he and the democrat party are committed to destroying our country. They are trying to get us all dependent on the government for every aspect and necessity of our lives which will end freedom for all of us. It is a good thing in the long run depending on how much damage he and Congress do. Because they are so blatant it is a beautiful chance to show ignorant people that leftists really do want to control everyone and get rid of the authority of the Constitution.

     I hear all the time how great things were under Bill Clinton. It's amazing how people forget Bill Clinton's first year in office. The very first thing he tried to do was get gays to be able to serve openly in the military, then "midnight basketball and "Hillary Care" were next. Sound eerily familiar? The big difference then was that Clinton didn't have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. Then in the midterm election the democrats lost both houses of Congress and for the rest of his time in office he had no power to push the leftist agenda. But he wanted to, don't ever forget that. Leftists are like terminators from the Arnold movies, they just don't stop, ever.

     America is in peril but I do have hope for us. This hope is based in the passion of the resistance to this President and the access to news and opinion instantaneously. This combats the propaganda and the word twisting from the leftists. Middle of the road people have access now to alternative media and that has hurt the leftist cause. Conservatives have been passive for so long that we have allowed the creeping tyranny to embed itself into so many aspects of our lives. The time of the Conservative is coming fast and furious and when we get the authority back we must not let the newly elected become part of the problem we must keep our eyes on the prize of a truly free and Constitutional America. After there is a Conservative Congress and a Conservative President in office, we must keep up the fight. We must demand the rollback of institutional violations to the Constitution. We must reform how government operates and demand that the Constitution loopholes be plugged. We must get rid of the nanny state entitlements that keep people dependent on the government for a check. We must abolish the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Energy and any other entity that is not delegated to the federal government by the Constitution. 

     "Whoa Whoa Whoa Michael, what the hell do you mean by that? you mean no more welfare and Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare?" Yes! That is exactly what I mean. These are issues delegated to the states to handle not the federal government. State bureaucracies are alot closer and more subject to direct scrutiny from the people than is the federal government. The federal government has no business in any of these areas. If you do not like how a state runs things you can always move to another state, but if the federal government controls everything there isn't an alternative to them. That line usually gets people thinking about what I am saying in a renewed light. This is why the Founding Fathers did what they did and why we have an Electoral College and all of the other barriers to central control from the federal government. They were very smart men and despite the different problems and complexities of the 21st century the same principles apply to this day and forever. We must demand that Congress implement this kind of change in order for our country to be truly free again like the Founding Fathers envisioned. We must reclaim our schools, localize them and weed out the leftist indoctrinators that peddle the leftist line to our children. These are things that we must get done to just get back to normalcy in the Founders' vision. The left has been at work on their modern Marxist agenda for over a hundred years. We can restore America in alot less time because we have God, the Founders and freedom on our side.
