Back To Writing

The answer is no, I will not be the next Rush Limbaugh lol. In fact all radio hosts are secure from my threat. The local talk radio station has the radio contest every year and it was very apparent right away that some people have participated in it every year and have a burning desire to be on the radio. Most of them were leaps and bounds better at radio protocol than I was. I know that if I practiced for the next year I would do better, but I think that I will stick to what I am somewhat good at and write. I never realized how radio is more about entertainment than it is about the subject matter, and that is by no means a knock on radio. It was just the reality that never occurred to me before but was quite obvious when I auditioned. It was fun though and to hear some of the other contestants absolutely ace their auditions was exciting. I am glad that I did it because wondering "if" would have driven me nuts. It just wasn't for me and that is ok because neither is brain surgery or tap dancing. I wish all of the finalists luck.

To tell you the truth I have missed writing and will be back with a vengeance. There is so much to write about as we all know. Thanks for all of your encouragement, it means alot. It's good to be back on the keyboard.

I think you have a very catchy tag line, "God, Family, and America. Nothing else matters". You almost got it right. Everything else DOES matter. If and when you take off your blinders you will see we all belong to the family of God. What we do to each other we do to ourselves.

If one does not take care of their own house they cannot take care of anyone else. When God, Family and America are taken care of, great things happen for the world. Nothing else matters until those three are taken care of, ask God.
