A sad day is coming soon for America. The inevitable confirmation of judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court is going to be a step backward for all of us. The leftists will use the same tactics they always have, using race and gender as the emotional leverage to justify this person. They will evoke emotions in the Hispanic population and the women of the country. The sad part is that they are using the Hispanic population and the women of the country to further an ideology that will ultimately hurt both those groups along with the rest of us. They don't care that Sonia Sotomayor is Hispanic or that she is a woman, but rather she was picked because she fits their radical left ideology. The fact that she is a Hispanic woman is by design for the racial and gender politics aspect, is just part of the means to the ultimate end. A leftist White male judge would defer for the simple fact that she is going to further the leftist ideology and be perfect for race and gender baiting, furthering statism is more important than anything, including life, to a leftist.

     I know what some are saying right now, "Well what's wrong with that?" Nothing is wrong with her being a Hispanic female and being a Supreme Court Justice. The problem lies with the way she has conducted herself as a judge in the lower courts. A Supreme Court Justice is an appointment for life. When one becomes a Justice at the Supreme Court you have to be bias free and strictly rule on cases before you as per the Constitution. Sonia Sotomayor has not done this. 

     Sonia Sotomayor has said that "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life". Huh? If that is not racist I don't know what is! Imagine the leftists if a Conservative had said that but only the opposite. This woman is plain and simple a racist and a leftist ideologue. There was also a case of hers as an appellate court judge before the Supreme Court just recently that was overturned by the Supreme Court. A couple of firefighters from New Haven, Connecticut passed a promotional test making them eligible for promotion. The city fearing lawsuits threw out the results. She ruled that since no Black firemen had passed the test, the tests and the promotions had to be thrown out. One man who happened to be White was dyslexic and had to hire someone to read the material to him so he could study, he passed and was to be promoted, but not if Sonia Sotomayor had something to say about it.

     What if that had happened to your husband or father or brother or sister for that matter? What if had been the other way around? What if say no White people had passed the test and a judge threw out the promotions for Blacks or whomever. Would that be right? No it wouldn't be right. The notion that only White people can be racist is as silly as saying the earth is square. "Well Mike, Blacks and Hispanics and every other group have been discriminated against forever" Yes and it was wrong whomever did it and anytime it happened and we had to go to war with ourselves to correct it. It is wrong to give preference to any group including Whites.

     It was wrong for the Dredd Scott decision to have happened (a Supreme Court decision in 1857 that stated blacks were not citizens therefore had no right to sue for freedom from slavery) that was a Supreme Court decision. The Constitution is the only bedrock that we have in this country. We went to the Civil War to have the Constitution upheld in the 1860's. I don't want another civil war to steer America back to the founding principles in the 2000's. Confirming this person, Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court is just another step in that direction, to hell. 

     There is a statue at the Supreme Court of a woman holding scales and blindfolded. It means that Justice is blind in this country. Everyone that has a case in front of any judge in any court in the land deserves to get a fair and unbiased hearing, regardless of race or gender or any other factor outside the law. The Founding Fathers set it up so that no one group could legislate from the bench to take away another's freedoms. This is how it has to be. No one, be they Black, White, Hispanic, Asian or other should get preferential treatment not afforded everyone else in the courts or any other part of government. The leftists love to divide us into little groups. Once you get the groups fighting then they aren't paying attention to what the leftists are doing, taking our freedoms. But I am, and hopefully so are you. Call your Senator and let them know that we want Justices that are going to uphold the Constitution.
