THEPATRIOTJOURNAL.COM: Counting Our Blessings
Counting Our Blessings
I feel it's only right to sit every once in a while and reflect on just how well we have it here in the United States of America. Even though, I am more than angry at the current government that is trying to flush all that down the drain, I have to go back and reconnect with what I am fighting for in the first place. I have been to other countries, mainly Canada, Mexico and Central America and none of them have a country like this, not even close. We have it so well here that people are trying to break in.
When we have a government that stays out of the way of free market capitalism, we have an economy that has never before been seen. We are leaps and bounds ahead of any other country in production of products, food and energy. We really did invent the internet and have produced most of the medical equipment, vaccines, medicines and medical techniques that make the world healthier. We don't have to slap ourselves on the back, because we are a humble people generally. We excel at everything we do, and why? Because we are free. More free than Europe and definitely more free than China.
We all need to reflect back and do some soul searching every once in a while before we whine about how hard life is our how annoying this or that is. We all have to remember that there are people that die floating tractor tires in the ocean to get here. Our poor live the "life of Brian" in this country. They have all the food they need and most of the time the drugs and booze too. I have seen poor people and we don't have them here. Poor here are upper middle class in Central America or Africa.
I remember being in the Marines all those years ago and marveling over the equipment and hardware and training we received. I remember crossing over the mountains into San Diego and seeing out there in the bay the first aircraft carrier I ever saw close up. It looked like a Bayliner in a bathtub! It was grand. I felt proud to be American. I remember hearing about all the heroes from the past and the sacrifices that were made by all of them and felt proud to be "chewing the same dirt" they did years later. The military really brings it all home to you and takes over a big piece of your heart for America.
So as I sit here I am not thinking of Obama and his ilk but of George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson and other Patriots from the Revolution. I think of Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant from the Civil War and from my lifetime I think of Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, and Charlton Heston. American heroes like Greg "Pappy" Boyington, Chesty Puller, George S. Patton, William T. Sherman and every man that has fought and died protecting us. All men with character and all men that truly loved America. Those guys make me proud to be American.
For this day I think of what we are fighting for. I thank God and will go to bed tonight with a smile and think of the Star Spangled Banner over Fort McHenry and how we are going to win the current fight as well. We always win, because God has truly blessed America.

I'v been to a few places, too. I saw China a few years ago. I have a place in Mexico. I remember saying that China was becomming more like the U.S. and that we were becoming more like China. Gee, looks like I was right. We are going to be one big happy global family, with one president of the world, or king, if the globalist agenda stays on track. Oh yes. On this side of the world, we will be slaves working so that they can spend our money on whatever luxury item that they want. They have to maintain the quality of lifestyle that they have aquired on the backs of average working class people. It isn't our government anymore. We lost it. We belong to the governing establishment, and they will do whatever they want to do with us. They have to keep us poor and afraid. Mark my words. They will do whatever it takes to bring us all the way down, then keep us there. One a brighter note. I know many people of the military and police force who will turn their backs on this government, if it comes down to it. I hope that you are right about winning. The term, 'winning', denotes that there is a looser. Let's hope we, the people, win with no bodily harm to anyone. The people are working hard at not fighting a last resort battle. We may be headed to the Rubicon. Reply to this
