The Republican Party Is Not Dead Or Even Wounded

I am sick and tired of hearing from every leftwing nut that the Republican Party is dead or the Republican Party is in demise blah blah blah. The Republican Party has lost the last two elections, but, Obama as much as he was hyped by every media outlet aside from FOXNews, Conservative talk radio, and a handful of newspapers only won with 53% of the vote. That isn't a landslide by any stretch of the imagination. On top of that Obama was up against a RINO in John McCain whom the Conservative base wanted nothing to do with. A good portion of the base never voted. True hard core leftists only make up 15% to 20% of the population. They have never been the majority. Most democrats are only democrat because their parents were democrats.

The problem with the Republican party that I can see, is that we the people that make up registered Republicans and give our money to Republicans have not included ourselves into our local Republican headquarters so that our voices are heard. It is our party, not some moron that is the committee chairman or some moron that runs the local office. We are the ones that supply the cash. They do what we want and they support who we want, not the other way around. We must demand from our local party that we will not support any candidate that is not conservative. We must not tolerate RINO's ever again. When a local party supports a RINO and they win they undermine us all the way up the ladder. Look at Tom Ridge and Arlen Specter both of them had to start off small somewhere. It is not ok for a candidate to just have an "R" after his name anymore!

I know some of you are going to say, "Yeah but Mike isn't that extreme?" Hell no it's not extreme! Is it extreme to have principles and live by those principles? Conservative principles are the Founding Principles. There is no extremist Conservative. Some moron hater might call themselves Conservative, but they aren't. Conservatives are God loving, family loving, America loving people. Conservatives do not blow up federal buildings or want anarchy or hate ethnic groups. Conservatives are the people that want everyone to succeed but expect people to work for what they get, while having equal opportunity. Conservatives are the biggest donors to charities and on and on and on.

There is nothing to be ashamed of being adamant about only accepting Conservatives to represent you. Demand it at your local level and by the time they are national they do the right thing in Congress and the White House. The only problem the Republican Party has, is that it lets the leftists running the democrat party define us in the press and everywhere else and of course the RINO's like Colin Powell running around spouting off that we are too exclusive etc. Dismiss those losers! They don't speak for you. You speak for you. They want us to think we are in disarray. I know I'm not in disarray and you know you aren't, so lets get to the next Republican Party meeting in your town or county and tell them how you feel and that you are not going to accept less. The quicker true Conservatives like you and I assert ourselves at the local level the better crop of candidates there will be. Apathy is no longer a luxury we can afford. We are going to have to get involved. Too many people in this country have no clue what is going on and how to fix it. We, the true Conservatives can make a huge impact. We and the Tea Parties are the shots heard round the world. The Republican Party is the party of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. Let's make them proud!

I think most of us would love to just vote conservative, however, some of the conservatives turn leftist with their views once voted in, as we have just seen.
    Then what?

thats why you get involved at the local level. Arlen Specter has been red flagged for a long time and we had the majority so his vote didn't matter, but in these days it does. If someone goes from being conservative to leftist they were never conservative to begin with and you get rid of them in the next election. thats all you can do when you have been duped. however the reason for the post was to get people involved at their local level because lots of RINO's that act and give hints they are RINO's are nominated in our absence.

Steve Shine is the head of the Fort Wayne, IN Republican headquarters. It is pretty much a good-old-boys club here. You can't get involved unless you know someone or are very wealthy, except at election time when they need people to hand out flyers.

My suggestion is to get like minded people like you and start donating 5, 10 or 15 dollars a month and get a bunch of your friends to do the same. Then go there as a group and demand you be heard. The offices are open I am sure or go there and volunteer and get in that way. You get clout by donating and helping then they can't shut you out and you can demand from them especially if you have a few like minded people that think like you do. I am sure Mr. Shine has been there for some time. If they still are not receptive start handing out anti-Ft Wayne Repub fliers explaining that they are supporting RINO's and that will cause some stir. The power is in the voters' hands not theirs.

I agree that the Republican party's only problem is that we have not been true to our bedrock principles and beliefs. And if someone we supported turns into a RINO, it is our duty to vote them out of office.
