Youth In South Central.........Asia, Are Showing Us How It's Done

I am proud of the Iranian youth who are not accepting the recent election as factual and fair. This election was antithetical to fair and so blatantly obvious a fraud, especially to the people of Iran. I believe we are going to see one of two things happen. Either the elite military is going to crush the protest Tiananmen Square style or the current Mullah dominated theocracy will fall, there isn't going to be a fade away to this. Either way Iran is not the same at all coming out the other side. I have heard talk that the challenger to Ahmedinejad a man named Mousavi is just as bad. Who cares? The Iranian people will decide that. The integrity of the vote must be upheld and next time if the people are frustrated they will make a different choice. The inspirational part is the force of will by the people against a formidable corrupt government. Ayatollah is a Muslim religious ranking sort of like a Pope in the Iranian case. Ayatollah Khamenei, the current supreme leader of Iran is every bit as hard line as Ayatollah Khomeini, the leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution and the supreme leader that made President Carter look like a fool for 444 days during the embassy hostage crisis, but Khamenei doesn't have the popular support of the people like Khomeini. The youth of Iran do not remember the days of the Shah and what led to the current situation and want closer ties to the west. Their experience has never been as empowering as the lives of their fathers and grandfathers. I wish them luck in their fight for liberty.

What bothers me is that American youth are not nearly as aware that their liberties are being stolen surreptitiously by Congress and the Obama White House. Every day there is a new proposal to take over another piece of the economy big government style and when that happens they are going to want control. When government takes control and runs something it fails, except thankfully the military. Government run by idealistic and or ideological extremists is disaster sooner rather than later. We have that now and it is going to get worse before it gets better. American youth need to be acutely aware of their government right now. The bliss of ignorance is a luxury no one can afford now. We are going to have to be "that" generation that does the hard things to keep America from dissolving into something that is unrecognizable. Please take notes, watch the news read this blog and keep yourself informed and involved with your government. Let us show the Iranian youth with our involvement in our destiny that we believe in what they are doing even when President Obama won't.
