Thank God, finally, hip hip hooray! It's about time someone from the Bush Administration stood up and defended what was and still is right. For President Obama to suggest that protecting America by opening Guantanamo Bay was somehow "misguided" proves to me that the President is either a monumental idiot or worse a partisan politician bent on radicalizing government to the extreme left without regard to the safety of the American people. I am afraid I believe the latter.

     Obama is still using campaign techniques because he knows that most of his policies are not at all popular with the majority of Americans. It was a one-sided argument until former Vice-President Dick Cheney stood up and gave his retort today. Guantanamo Bay houses terrorists that would as soon cut your head off as to look at you and for some reason the Leftists want to give them rights afforded all Americans. Rights by the way that are not guaranteed for them in the Constitution or the oft-mentioned Geneva Convention.

     These people are guilty of terrorist offenses outside of our country against Americans and allies that are dealt with by military tribunals. It seems that Obama is doing the about face for those but wants to house the terrorists that get prison sentences in the federal prison system here in the US. I know for a fact that is not going to go over with the American people. No one wants those people to be here or have a chance to escape and be in the US. Also, if they are in the US they have access to courts and due process which means they and their court appointed attorneys might find a radical Leftist judge that is sympathetic and release them. Then what?

     Logic and reason usually knock down any Leftist utopia silliness but Obama is not going to use logic because he has to tow the Leftist line and he wants to. Dick Cheney should be commended for taking his free time to stand up for what is right and presenting the opposition as a private citizen, to Obama and the dismantling of our national security.
